"It was Sunday morning early in the year 1776. In the church where Pastor Muhlenberg preached, it was a regular service for his congregation, but a quite different affair for Muhlenberg himself. Muhlenberg's text for the day was Ecclesiastes 3 where it explains, 'To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven; a time to be born, and a time to die, a time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted...'"
"Coming to the end of his sermon, Peter Muhlenberg turned to his congregation and said, 'In the language of the holy writ, there was a time for all things, a time to preach and a time to pray, but those times have passed away.' As those assembled looked on, Pastor Muhlenberg declared, 'There is a time to fight, and that time is now coming!' Muhlenberg then proceeded to remove his robes revealing, to the shock of his congregation, a military uniform."
"Marching to the back of the church he declared, 'Who among you is with me?' On that day 300 men from his church stood up and joined Peter Muhlenberg. They eventually became the 8th Virginia Brigade fighting for liberty."
"Frederick Muhlenberg, Peter's brother, was against Peter's level of involvement in the war. Peter responded to Frederick writing, 'I am a Clergyman it is true, but I am a member of the Society as well as the poorest Layman, and my Liberty is as dear to me as any man, shall I then sit still and enjoy myself at Home when the best Blood of the Covenant is spilling? ...So far am I from thinking that I act wrong, I am convinced it is my duty to do so and duly I owe to God and my country."
A Christian who isn't politically active is no Christian at all.

This is hugely significant. We shall see the temperament and faith of our nation as an outcome of this.

If Cruz can grab the Christians, and if Trump can grab the Reagan Democrats, and if they team up, then Katy bar the door.

Defunding Planned Parenthood is only a beginning at best and seems like an emotional wedge issue that stops short of stopping the killing.
The release of the videos has led to this issue being brought up, but when it comes to PP 54 million Christians blocking the entrances to their buildings would be a very effective move.
I don’t need emotional wedges to suck me into supporting a politician.
I already support Ted Cruz and send him $.

"54 million Christians stayed home last election" --- Ted Cruz I voted for Romney as the better of the two alternatives on offer. But does anyone believe he would de-fund Planned Parenthood?
Or would he be like some of the Repubs who want to only de-fund the bad parts while continuing to fund the supposed "good" parts...?
In any case, Go Cruz!! Its about time someone took this seriously. They're chopping up babies and selling the meat. This shouldn't even be an issue of funding, but felony prison time.

Ted Cruz needs to continue his effort to defund the Planned Parenthood baby butchers, but more than that, he needs to promise to PROSECUTE them for every law that they have broken, starting with murder.

Cruz is the ONLY real conservative in this race AND who can also win the Presidential election. There is nothing buffoonery about him.

Good and bad. Is Cruz running for president or not? He seems to be tilting at windmills and so far has failed every effort. I hope he’s more successful at defunding Planned Parenthood than he has been with Obamacare. Yes, I realize he’s trying to find a niche as he hasn’t found national traction and is overshadowed by Trump. Had he been more transparent on illegal aliens and also not wanted a 500% increase in H1B, maybe he’d be in a different position. Heck, Walker now mimics Cruz in not wanting to talk about what to do with illegals already in the U.S. Instead, Trump is clear and we see the even clearer result.
