That looks like the Time Tunnel from the 1960s TV show.

I’m finding this whole discussion offensive. This ignores the sensibilities of trans-matter, which is matter than cannot decide, through no fault of its own, whether it is anti-matter or what is commonly known as “matter”.

Regardless, a vicious societal prejudice and obvious wellspring of bias exists simply from calling normal matter “matter” and the other stuff “anti-matter”. Consider: We automatically have a revulsion, just via the terminology, for anti-matter. We know, or some of do, that the two hate each other and have always been at war with each other for millennia. It is well know that they annihilate each other when into proximity. Yet nobody knows why, and for too long, we have ignored the causes. I, for one, believe we could start of process of getting these two antagonistic forces to live with other in peace, in a peace we could all benefit from, if we began calling anti-matter something different.

All that superb electronics, and the German car manufacturers are still competing for the Lucas Electric Award.

The measurements, made with unprecedented precision, add to growing scientific data confirming that matter and antimatter are true mirror images.

Yes. Yes. Yes.

Now my plan to construct an Anti-Matter Transporter System can proceed. Imagine stepping into my AMTS and stepping out moments later somewhere in the outskirts of Alpha Centauri. Life is good.

Another bullet in the carcass of string theory?

String theory wants the violation of CPT symmetry. This experiment verified the preservation of CPT symmetry!

"CPT violation implies the breaking of Lorentz symmetry... In 1989, Alan Kostelecký and Stuart Samuel proved that interactions in string theories could lead to the spontaneous breaking of Lorentz symmetry. Later studies have indicated that loop-quantum gravity, non-commutative field theories, brane-world scenarios, and random dynamics models also involve the breakdown of Lorentz invariance."

I find it extremely hard to believe that CERN is for research into a THEORY of the so called “God particle”!

I look at this contraption and see this huge project undertaking and the cost that it must have taken to build and say to myself why spend this kind of time and money to research a theory cause apparently according to these scientists thats all this machine is for.

If we hadn’t spent a zillion dollars to build that neat looking machine, what would these brainiacs do for a living??? and why are we paying them to do this......and how did they know how to build a machine that would dig up all this very valuable information???

“CERN Experiment Confirms Matter-Antimatter CPT Symmetry For Light Nuclei, Antinuclei”

Help please.

Does this mean that matter and antimatter have a symmetrical relationship to each other? Sort of of like for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction in Newtonian physics?

New measurements show that CPT symmetry holds true for light nuclei such as deuterons -- a hydrogen nucleus with an additional neutron -- and antideuterons, as well as for helium-3 nuclei -- two protons plus a neutron -- and antihelium-3 nuclei.

Me and my buddies were discussing that very thing Friday night in the bar after our softball game......Talk about a coincidence.
