To: Mr Rogers

I see you completely ignored the fact that he received that one lump sum for TWO jobs and for the 5 years he took no salary/retirement from the 0ne job

And I also note that you completely ignored the fact that he very likely has expenses in his life that far outweigh what you or I have due to his responsibilities as a pastor/evangelist

[[If he is asking for money from people poorer than him to fund his salary, then he makes too much as a minister.]]

I’m sure everyone who donates can go to his site and either see a breakdown of donations or they can request that info just as you can with ANY organization- You make it seem as though people would not be willing to fund him ANDS have a portion go to the poor- however most people understand that CEO’s work very hard and earn what they do because of their personal expenses brought on by being in the ministry such as this

I know professors who don’t work 1/4 as hard as Franklin does and who even begin to do as much good as he does who make 10 tiems what he does- so if we’re going to start comparing who does what for how much money- then yeah- let’s start comparing- It seems you should be complaining about ball players, professors, etc

[[“And you know what he does with his money how? You know his expenses how?”

I don’t.]]

BINGO! You don’t- All you see is the one lump sum he got (for reasons explained already) and complain he is ‘getting too much’ and ignoring the FACT that the demands on him are much much higher than most people’s lives- and cost much more than most people-

[[When Graham serves...is it for money?]]

People should WORK for money? Is that what you are suggesting? The men I nthe bible all worked for large sums of money

[[None of the people you cite made their wealth by asking poorer people to give to the poor and then using the money to pay themselves far more than those giving made.]]

And none of them had the financial burdens Franklin has either- so again, what’s your point? And again, you don’t know how Franklin is using what he does get - or how many people he is able to help from that salary

Personally, considering the ser5vidce He does, I couldn’t care less what he makes or how much God ALLOWS him to be blessed financially as long as his heart remains dedicated to serving God as it is now-

All this window peeping and jealousy is simply ridiculous and nothing but sour grapes-

[[If he makes it by asking people to give to the poor, then it becomes their business.]]

Actually that is NOT what they ask- people giving money KNOW some of that money goes to pay those in the business- you make it sound like everyone is completely blindsided and duped and that franklin is a deceiver- when infact they make it clear on their website that funds go to ALL aspects of the ministry and is posted on the home page for all to see- and I’m sure when he and staff ask crowds for money they explain that their donations go to help fund the business and also to help the needy as well, and I’m sure they are ready and willing to answer anyone who questions how the money is used

[[when you make a LOT of money by diverting it from the poor it is supposed to go to.]]

‘Supposed to go to the poor’? He makes it VERY clear o nhis website where the money is ‘supposed’ to go and that includes BOTH to the poor and to the business for business expenses

If you personally don’t like what he makes, or what his business needs to operate each year, then don’t give- pretty simple- but to imply he is ripping unsuspecting people off is pretty petty of you when he makes it clear that any money that is donated goes to BOTH causes- and especially when you have no idea what his personal expenses may be due to his responsibilities not just in those two organizations, but all over the world as world leaders demand his time as well
