So Texans - how good is Blue Bell ice cream?

I am a New Englander and we eat a lot of ice cream around here. I think we eat more ice cream than anyone else in our country.

I sure love good ice cream. Remember making it a few times when we were kids.

Very curious about what you folks think of Blue Bell!

It's a Conservative, Texas-owned company, despised by the left. That's why it's plausible that hussein was behind this case of sabotage. Recall that the regime also planted the ebola scourge here. And he's doing the same with cratering the Texas oil industry.

I’ve heard of Blue Bunny but this is the first I’ve heard of Blue Bell.

I’m in Alabama, only 30 miles or so from the Alabama factory that’s making it again— finally!!!

I LOVE Blue Bell!!

Miss the Banana split variety.

The homemade vanilla flavor truly tastes like homemade vanilla.

I grew up with hand cranked homemade vanilla ice cream. My grandparents had three hand cranked machines where the grandkids would take turns turning it, pouring ice and salt around the metal container, and poking the drain hole to keep it clear for the water to run out.

It was a lot of work, but the homemade vanilla ice cream was so incredible, it was worth it.

Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream tastes exactly like that.

Speaking for my family (including my 90 year old dad),there just any ice cream greater than Blue Bell. People were really standing in front of the ice cream case in the store,as if Blue Bell would magically appear. Most people I know will only eat Blue Bell.

See #16. The original family owners sold out. The taste is now blah. Not what it’s cracked up to be.

It's exactly like the Blue Bell route driver says...

We eat all we can and sell the rest.

Moved to Texas in 2008 from the Pacific Northwest. Tillamook Ice Cream is better.

Best vanilla in a 1.5 QT to 1/2 gallon carton: Costco’s Kirkland brand “Super Premium Vanilla”. 50% more butterfat than Blue Bell.

It’s the best of the big company tub ice cream

No question

There are better boutique labels like Graeters or that new Swiss one....Movenpick

But Blue Bell is damned good.....

It’s so good, that when I received the recall notice on the two half-gallon tubs in my freezer, with its description of the sometimes fatal listeria bacteria, to be replaced by nothing but cold cash, I proceeded to EAT them.

Love Blue Bell - It’s also sold in MS. Good quality and doesn’t leave a homo aftertaste like Ben and Jerry’s is reported to do....
