Conservative radio host Laura Ingraham just absolutely destroyed Charles Krauthammer on the 14th amendment and anchor babies tonight on Special Report.
Charles Krauthammer: The issue of anchor babies or birthright citizenship, it is a sideshow because it’s a symptom…
Laura Ingraham: There’s quite a debate about whether the 14th Amendment has to be repealed. I know a lot of people glibly say… That’s not actually been settled and you could do a whole hour on the jurisprudence surrounding that.
Krauhammer: It’s been around for 150 years.
Ingraham: Well, we actually didn’t have a problem with illegal immigration in the 1800s as we know. That wasn’t an issue. It was directed at the slaves who did deserve to stay here. So, it really was an important clause and the author of the clause Howard Jacob said it didn’t apply to foreigners in the United States. But, you know, this is a long conversation… And I know Trump’s rise annoys a lot of people now. And I get it. But the people in this town who have been propping up two parties that have failed the Middle Class, failed them on these global trade deals… that have absolutely not delivered what they promised to deliver to the Middle Class, failed them on enforcing the border, failed them on all these ideas that America was going to export its values around the world… They’re ready to throw in with the guy who has all these conflicting positions maybe because the guys who said they were going to be consistent weren’t. And they’re not fighting for the people.
Krauthammer: It’s easy to go and attack Washington and it’s a clever dodge. The issue here is birthright citizenship…
Ingraham: And Bush and Obama didn’t stop it. Neither stopped it. Neither did McConnell or Boehner when they had the chance. They’re not stopping it. People are tired of it.
Wow. That was brutal.
Never has Charles Krauthammer sounded more like a Wshington elitist than he did tonight.

Of course he was, if he was quoting the 14th Amendment.I believe it was the 39th Congress (I could be wrong) in 1866 that debated the proposed 14th Amendment at length.
There was not a mention of anchor babies or the power of executive amnesty for illegal aliens ...

ALL THE CONGRESSIONAL DEBATES ARE ACCESSIBLE IN THE RECORD OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.
Anybody who really cares to look can spend the hours to review ALL the congressional debates between 1865 and 1870.
The only thing that IS mentioned is that the House has the power to define citizenship. Period.
Whatever the Supreme Court may have "decided" in the past was not based on any power Constitutionally granted to either the Supreme Court or to the Executive.
In fact, there is serious question about the legitimacy (and legality!) of the Supreme Court during reconstruction.
I guess it's easier to bloviate than to do serious research; having high school volunteers do it for you isn't gonna cut it, Mr. O'Bloviator and friend.
I always put Kraut on mute. Don’t trust the guy.

The Trump candidacy is “smoking out all the turds.” I can’t tell you how many “highly regarded” pundits ( like Kraut) who are being seen for who they really are. It’s kinda’ like a bonus we’re getting from Trump! Tonight just now on FNC. Dana Perino looked like she’d been shot when being asked about the campaign and how it’s affected Boosh! Her nose has been so far up the “Bush Family A$$,” that I am sitting in amazement that she’s still able to breathe.
Dr Strangelove has been taking some hits lately.
Yeh Kraut is predictable GOPe. Its just killing him that Trump is doing well.
Laura isn’t only a mere lawyer, she’s also served as a Supreme Court Clerk, which requires expertise in the Constitution.
What’s next for Charles Krauthammer, arguing with Ben Carson over how to perform a brain operation?
We’re mad as hell and we’re not going to take this any more.

I was floored about 3 weeks ago when he referred to Trump as a circus clown.
The most important thing Laura said had nothing to do with immigration at all. She said that both parties have failed the middle class and therefore giving the opportunity for Trump. This is quite insightful IMO.

The Kraut hates Trump, loves Jebbie, and is soooo out of tune with what is going on this election cycle. Laura has his number. I have had it for some time too. The Kraut and Georgie Will are pods out of the same pee...and both are out of touch with reality.
Laura put a good old-fashioned beat down on Chuck. Loved every second of it.
The Kraut is there to ratify Cultural Marxism from the conservative/GOP side, nothing more save perhaps shill a bit for Israel.

Not only that they actively prevented legislation. Bush, Boehner, and McConnell stopped the Republican citizenship anchor baby bill sponsored by Nathan Deal in 2005.

Yeah, I saw it too. It was fun watching Laura takeKrauthammer to school. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing, lol! Most people are intimidated by Charles. Not Laura :)
SOUR KRAUThammer comes to a boil when his liberal (D or R) friends look bad or lose an election. I won’t forget for a long time how he and his friend Tokyo Rove went ballistic when their Liberal Friend lost his re-election bid in Delaware to a much more conservative Republican candidate!
