The investigations and the scrutiny will have their effect. A resignation here, a candidate choosing not to run there. But no one will go to jail or be punished in the legal sense for the violations of law in Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server for official State Department business.
Washington DC, just like Wall Street, seems immune to punishment for the violation of law. Once a perpetrator has been nailed to the political wall, the issue decided, the political power shifts and the political maneuvers result. Political capital is acquired by one group, lost by another. But do not hold your breath for punishment in the legal sense. No one will go to jail.

I think Hillary is unlikely to go to prison but I do think she is toast politically. If she could pull off the nomination and then win the general and pardon herself maybe she could get away with her crimes but I'm convinced that Trump will be the next president and he wouldn't pardon her on a bet.
I think if Trump wins she is prosecuted and will have to elocute about all the crimes to stay out of prison.
I personally realize it won't happen, that she goes to prison, but I would sure enjoy her worrying about it. She and her husband are the worse lairs to hit politics until Obama came along.

The article is correct, especially as pertains to the Clintons. Unlike most of the rest of us, they are shielded from the law, and are free to act with impunity. Scores of adoring acolytes will eagerly throw themselves under the train for them, at anytime and at anyplace for any reason.
It’s a distasteful part of the system, but part of it nonetheless. Hillary will never be prosecuted, much less imprisoned.

There's a division within the DEMOCRAT ranks that DOES NOT FAVOR Hillary because they think she may already be DAMAGED goods, whether she's indicted or not.
There's also a faction that believe she's NOT far enough to the LEFT.
She could quite well get her ass "dixied" right out of the nomination.
Don't say "no".. it's already happened once when Obozo suddenly took the nomination away from her in 2008.
