Why would a sub have TWO nuclear reactors?
Did other Soviet subs have a pair, or is this the only one?

Why would a sub have TWO nuclear reactors? Because the Russians couldn't build a small enough reactor to provide the power necessary to drive submarines that large at a reasonable speed.
