At this point in the GOP primary race, with several months of Donald Trump constantly speaking his mind sans filter, can we really, honestly say that anything coming out of his mouth is shocking or surprising?
You wouldnt think so, but yet somehow, The Donald finds a way to still maintain political shock jock status with his comments.
During an interview with CNN, anchor Chris Cuomo asked Trump how he would respond to Pope Francis saying capitalism is toxic.
Heres how the real estate mogul responded.
From TheBlaze:
When CNN host Chris Cuomo ssked GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump how he would respond to Pope Francis claim that capitalism can be toxic, the Republican frontrunner said he would scare him.
Id say, ISIS wants to get you. You know that ISIS wants to go in and take over the Vatican? You have heard that, Trump said. You know, thats a dream of theirs, to go into Italy.
He talks to you about capitalism and you scare the pope? Cuomo asked.
Im gonna have to scare the Pope because its the only thing. The Pope, I hope, can only be scared by God. But the truth is you know, if you look at whats going on they better hope that capitalism works, because its the only thing we have right now. And its a great thing when it works properly, Trump added.

The Trumpmeister he has one of those names you can turn into a thousand different words finished by saying he liked the pope and thought seemed like a pretty good guy.
I have to say, despite not being a card carrying member of the Trump fan club, I do like how he stuck up for capitalism, because it truly is a great thing.
We hear non-stop this day and age about making war on poverty, but unfortunately, most of the folks championing this noble cause have the absolute worst solutions to fix the problem.
In other words, more government.
Capitalism and the free market have lifted more people out of poverty than any other system attempted by mankind, and Im living proof of that!
Less government regulation in the free market creates more opportunities for folks to start businesses or expand existing companies and employ more workers.
Hopefully the Popes views on capitalism will evolve as the political class likes to say, and hell see this is the way to truly create wealth and end poverty.
Can Trump be my Pope?
We are not likely to return to a trade and barter system in today’s society unless somebody drops the big one and we start from scratch.
Of the systems that are common to modern society, capitalism offers more personal freedom than socialism or communism. None of these is ideal. There are no perfect human systems.
(Middle ages in answer to your question)
Communists are still living in the past of 150 years ago, claiming capitalism oppresses the masses. They were wrong during the Industrial Revolution and they’re even more wrong during the age of the Internet.
Capitalism gave the world modern transportation, electricity, clean water, communications, in short, prosperity and everything associated with modern civilization.
Commies are forever ranting about the evil oil companies, exploiting those poor third worlders. Hell, we had to show the Arabs how to drill their own oil. Our capitalism is what gave them the prosperity they now have.
Nobody’s being oppressed by evil capitalism. Especially now, with the Internet. Anybody that doesn’t want to be a wage slave can start their own business.
All you need is a laptop and a good idea.
Commies are idiots.
Trump is an unrepentant capitalist. He refuses to apologize or feel guilty for being successful. That’s what the commies hate most about him, and it’s what impresses me the most.
He looks astonished and unsure whether to be offended or impressed.
LOL
No, but not articulated very well.
Anyway, conservatives have to drop the Marxist term, "capitalism."
The conservative philosophy of economics can be described in two words, "fair trade," meaning people freely trading with the government acting as referee, preventing fraud and minimizing externalities.
We need to take this term back from the liberals. By "fair trade," they mean fascism.
