Great pic, Jane.
“In other words, it was all about confidence. Trump has it, Perot really didn’t generate it. “
Yeah, Perot was a little Texas Ferret with money and a voice that came across like nails on a chalkboard. At the end of the day “work on it” was not an effective campaign “message.” There are no parallels between Trump and Perot that are of any consequence.
The book isn’t mine-—working on something better :)-—but I cited the guy’s book in the note. There is also a book called “The Clinton Campaign” by Stanley Renshon that has a lot of good Perot stuff in it, as well as Goldman and DeFrank, “Quest for the Presidency, 1992”.
Hand Grenade with a bad haircut was how Rush described him if my recollection is accurate.
Herman Cain was at 27% at one point. I didn't see him on the Ballot.
Mark Halperin is smarter than I thought he was. LOL!
LOL! They went from denial to acceptance at warp speed.
Herman Cain couldn’t control himself, and paid the price.
If Trump has never had a drink in his life - except for communion wine - then he seems a little more disciplined and self-controlled.
He's a smart guy and a fast learner.
That’s what separates the men from the boys.
Big, bold, grand vision that is easily communicated.
Reagan had it.
Trump, the consumate salesman, has it.
He has practiced and perfected his ability to sell the vision because he *believes* the vision.
He couldn’t sell a multi-million dollar project if he didn’t believe in it.
Ted Cruz has studied the constitution and the minds of the framers and he *believes* in their vision for America.
He practiced and perfected his debate abilities in order to articulate his belief in that vision.
Donald Trump can’t pass gas without the media reporting on it.
He gets free publicity just walking in the door.
The party can’t control him or his ideas, so they dislike him.
Cruz, who the party rulers also dislike, is taking the grass roots road.
He can’t compete with that media attention so he’s doing the meet and greet route.
Both smart and articulate men who believe in their visions and aren’t afraid to voice it.
I prefer Cruz by far because of his constitutional knowledge.
I would support Trump if he’s the nominee, but would hope Cruz would play a significant part in his administration.
If Cruz wins, I hope he would turn to Trump to advise him on the economy and business.
Trump’s immigration policy?
Don’t know; so far about all he’s been
clear on is mugging. - IF he sticks; & that’s a big
“IF”, I’m sure we’ll hear more. I’m looking for
consistency & fidelity IF that actually exists any
more. Not sure it does.
Now the BLM-wisely-backed down on the Bundy Ranch when people decided they had enough.
Yes, this smells like a pivot to a new strategy since the old one ain’t working.
