Alabama senator Jeff Sessions, a Republican, released a statement Sunday praising the immigration proposal from presidential candidate Donald Trump. ""This is exactly the plan America needs," said Sessions. "Not only would the plan outlined in this paper work, but more quickly than many realize. Most importantly, this plan reestablishes the principle that American's immigration laws should serve the interests of its own citizens. For too long, 'immigration reform' plans in Washington have served the special interests at the expense of working Americans."
Sessions goes on to say that Trump's plan puts "working Americans foremost" and puts an emphasis on lifting "struggling minority communities, including our immigrant communities, out of poverty."

I have a feeling Cruz will commit, pretty soon.
TRUMP/CRUZ
2016!
IMHO we don’t need a stripper for Press Secretary. Go with a lady who actually owns some real clothes. The beautiful blue eyed blonde who filled in for Kelly last week. She’s also frequently filled in for Baier. She’s my pick.
Jeff Sessions is the man. What a great endorsement. Trump has made my day with his immigration plan, and now we have a full week ahead to enjoy the Democrat/media freakout.
Trump will have to do what Reagan did. Talk over the politicians and speak directly to the people.
You mean to tell me it’s taken a non-politician, a go-getter-get-something-done man to lay out details ‘so shortly’ after announcing running for office?
This, THIS, is why the ‘debates’ are so much...mental masturbation. No 30-sec. sound bite, no grandiose verbal gymnastics, no bloviating (OK, DT DOES do enough of that :P), but IDEAS and plans...laid OUT for all to see, read and vote accordingly.
What will be equally interesting will not only be the opposition squealing, but how long anyone else in the field will put up or shut-up (if they put anything in writing at all!).
At least, IF he wins, there will be a ‘what about your plan for X? Why didn’t you follow your own plan for Y?’ instead of the ‘during your candidacy, you said Z’. It appears that DT is putting his $$ where his mouth IS.
Agreed.
What’s also great to see is how Trump has come to believe that he can and will win. Earlier on he would refer to “let’s see’ as to how much he’d commit and spend on the race.
Now he’s to the point of saying that he’s going to win—and he’s investing in what he needs along the way to do so.
bttt
Sessions is one of the best that we have in the Senate.
He is rather good at talking over the talking heads.. or anyone else for that matter ;)
