According to a new YouGov survey, 49% of 18-24 year-olds in Britain define themselves as something other than completely heterosexual. The Kinsey scale invented in the 1940s placed people on a range of sexual preferences from exclusively heterosexual at 0 to exclusively homosexual at 6.
In the YouGov study, individuals were asked to put themselves on that sexuality scale. In total, 72% of the British public scored themselves at the completely heterosexual end of the scale, while 4% were at the completely homosexual end, with 19% stating they were somewhere in between classed as bisexual by Kinsey.
One of the most striking findings of the new study is that with each generation, people see their sexuality as less fixed and more fluid. The results for 18-24 year-olds are particularly telling, with 43% placing themselves in the non-binary area between 1 and 5 and 52% place themselves at one end or the other. Of these, only 46% say they are completely heterosexual and 6% as completely homosexual.
Public opinion seems to accept the concept that sexual orientation exists along a continuum, rather than being a either/or choice between being straight and gay. According to YouGov, 60% of heterosexuals support this idea, as do 73% of homosexuals.

They must have polled the gay and dyke bars.
That’s sort of what my impression was all along, but don’t cross em in a war, they are some fighting SOBs.
A DELUSION from you-know-who!!!!!
See my #20. It’s here too.
There may be biological components to this. Sex organs and brains may be affected by changes in our environment in the recent decades, such as the ubiquity of plastic or maybe vaccines or who knows what. This could be causing all the sexual orientation and identity issues in the brain lately.
But the way my son describes how his friends and agemates think, it seems that young people do find sexuality not to be binary, even if it seems to be for THEM. They all know someone who is bi, or someone who is trans. So they are willing to say that sexuality and gender is fluid and non binary. That gives them the great feeling that we old fogies got it ALL WRONG, which is pretty typical for each generation.
IMHO it just means you’ll have sex with anything at anytime.
The left everywhere generally buys into a the notion that sexuality is on a scale, with very few being either 100% gay or straight (aka The Kinsey Scale).
radical leftwing propaganda works
abolish public schools, turn off the TV’s
Male homosexuality in Britain is almost a tradition from what I about their elitist schools. Believe most of their big Soviet spies were homos and used that for recruiting.
freaks
Yes, it means they’re “trysexual”, as the old joke goes.

Undoubtedly there is statistical significance to that.
You ain’t or you ain’t not.
Some of the numbers either don’t make sense, or aren’t completely described by the article.
for instance, within the 18-24 range (of which 48% say “somewhere in-between) there’s no breakout between male and female. Let alone any kind of discussion about where those 48% fall along the pure hetero <-> pure homo range.
It would be interesting to see those particular numbers. Anecdotally, and limited to here in the US, I’ve been told by younger relatives that girl/girl in the absence of an acceptable/available guy, OR girl/guy/girl is increasingly common amongst their age cohort. Not so much as a matter of true orientation as wanting to get their rocks off in the most intense manner possible.
They do have that funny accent...
Like we always said, “He’s not gay, he’s just British.”
All the girls I met were Bisexual, I'd ask them to have sex and they said "Bye!".
All a big fake.
If you wake them up in the middle of the night they talk just fine, like us.
That was my thought as well. They've probably been taught a perverted description of what "100% heterosexual" actually means and don't want to identify with that.
Be interesting to see this repeated with homeschooled children (if that's allowed).
just like Kinsey, people will often just say what people want to hear..
