In “Deliver the Goods”, he’s questioning (in 1987) Reagan’s ability to deliver after 7 years as president. We all know looking back now when the Berlin Wall fell in 1989 and the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, that Reagan did deliver on the goods. Trump today admits it himself the same looking back, as he said so himself that Reagan was a great president recently several times.
As I’m looking through the chapter, I noticed a somewhat relevant quote from the “Fight Back” section. This may apply to some who are critical of Trump today. Here’s Trump’s quote back then:

One of the problems when you become successful is that jealousy and envy inevitably follow.
There are people - I categorize them as life’s losers - who get their sense of accomplishment and achievement from trying to stop others.

And that despicable George Will bashed Reagan before he was elected...and one of his complaints was that he looked old around his neck and mouth. Can you believe this TURD???

Trump is the only one saying he will deport all illegals. This is what needs to be done. Nobody else is even saying that. So Trump is the only choice that is if you don’t want illegals to move the USA to the left as they have been

Yes, Trump is saying it. He’s a pro at saying things. He also said he had uncovered a blockbuster about the Obama birth certificate and would release it any moment.

I don’t judge by what a candidate says. I look at his record.

Just this year , U.S. politicians made the Iran deal possible by all of them voting for the Corker bill. ditto for TPA and Obama trade(more immigration “trade in services” included) .That’s 2 more nuclear bombs set to explode against America.

I agree that Reagan was a great men and my favorite President. But to much of the electorate he is a page or two out of history. It is akin to elections in the 60’s where they sang Happy Days are Here Again and paid tribute to FDR and the New Deal.
We can honor him, but let’s be careful about using that time as the basis for our comparisons. Let’s look forward and build a new “best time” in America.
I think we can do without Think Progress pieces, here. C’mon, CC...that’s scraping the bottom of the barrel.
If you get bored, though, look up "Medellin vs. Texas" and find out what Cruz did to get justice for two Texas girls who were brutally raped, sodomized, tortured, and murdered. He faced down George W. Bush and the federal government to do it.
You can rhapsodize all day about what Trump says , but he isn't fit to lick Cruz's cowboy boots.
I thought that whole rewriting history was a progressive standard. I just think its important to put it all out there.
