Game Change: Trump Consults with Sen Jeff Sessions on Immigration Strategy

In what may be the most important development in the 2016 Presidential race to date, Donald Trump has announced, and Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) office has confirmed, that the GOP front-runner is consulting with the Alabama Senator in crafting his immigration plan for the future of America.

The real estate mogul’s announcement will send shock waves through Washington D.C. and all across primary states.

Trump, whose campaign has focused primarily on issues of immigration and trade, has seen a meteoric rise since entering the race, with throngs of supporters across the country rocketing him to the top of every single poll, despite an extraordinary effort of establishment Republicans to take him down. Republican pundits have lobbed every imaginable accusation at Trump. Yet these same pundits, while seemingly furious at the man, have demonstrated no similar concern, angst, or passion about the dissolution of our southern border, the rampant exploitation of guest-worker programs, the collapse of middle class wages, and the growing illegal immigrant crime wave.

Well...I read and appreciate Sundance but seems to me Jeb has to do better than he’s doing for this to work. If DT can wipe the floor with them - runs the table - then their nasty strategy will fall apart. I tweeted a couple Sundance articles to Trump - maybe he’ll see them and maybe he’ll find the time to look at them.

If the GOPe gets away with their dirty tricks then I will write in my choice.

You might think I'm making this up but Obamacare has put me in a similar hell. Also other things this monster obama , the government (mostly democrats) and the media have put me to the edge of the cliff many times ,all my life really. I've had to fight so hard to pull myself out of every one of those huge messes.

In short every single problem I've have have been caused by obama, then the media , then government, and the democrat party, and GOPe too, politicians and the media.

If they only would have left the free market alone and us alone.

He’s getting better. He’s a very quick study, learning as he goes. We can see the drive in him and the smart decisions, the very same that likely made his fortune.

All he needed was to get in the door so that the media’s caricature of him could be thrown down and we could see the real him.

The media inadvertently let him into the arena because they made the mistake of believing their own caricature of him. They underestimated him!

There is an interesting story about how early on Trump took over a NYC public ice arena rebuild. He hired the best and got-er-done in short order.

This was the Wolman skating rink in Central Park which is an historic and popular place. The City of New York had not repaired it after six years. Millions had been squandered and it was a complete mess. So Trump stepped in and said he would get it up and running within four months and he did. The main thing Trump did was to hire the foremost Canadian company in building outdoor skating rinks and the custom refrigeration units used to maintain the ice.

I think The Donald does not bring this up because he is saving it for later. Keeping his powder dry.

Ego is necessary to get anything done. If it’s in harness with the superego, which I think it is in Trump’s case, best of all.

No, I predicted the first debate would begin the process. On the first dip in the polls I said it was too early to call a trend. I believe that we have the trend with ongoing confirming poll numbers. The trend is to the effect that Trump's acceleration is slowing, his support is topping, and in some places slipping, that his support ceiling is probably around 20% +2%.

Post position at this point is virtually meaningless it is only trends that count. The mindless crowing that we get from some Trump supporters that he is on top (generally offered with a gratuitous personal slap) is about as relevant as when Bush was on top, then Walker. But if a candidate has no philosophical foundation, soaring negatives, incoherent positions, it is necessary to quote the polls because that's all he has.

It is one thing for Walker to lose ground in the polls, his biography and his record give him the chance to come back. If Marco Rubio loses ground, his appeal on the stump can let him come back. But once the main prop of Trump's campaign softens, once the momentum slows…
