Game Change: Trump Consults with Sen Jeff Sessions on Immigration Strategy
Breitbart ^ | 08/14/2015 | Julia Hahn

Posted on 08/14/2015 8:19:19 PM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

In what may be the most important development in the 2016 Presidential race to date, Donald Trump has announced, and Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) office has confirmed, that the GOP front-runner is consulting with the Alabama Senator in crafting his immigration plan for the future of America.

The real estate mogul’s announcement will send shock waves through Washington D.C. and all across primary states.

Trump, whose campaign has focused primarily on issues of immigration and trade, has seen a meteoric rise since entering the race, with throngs of supporters across the country rocketing him to the top of every single poll, despite an extraordinary effort of establishment Republicans to take him down. Republican pundits have lobbed every imaginable accusation at Trump. Yet these same pundits, while seemingly furious at the man, have demonstrated no similar concern, angst, or passion about the dissolution of our southern border, the rampant exploitation of guest-worker programs, the collapse of middle class wages, and the growing illegal immigrant crime wave.

Didn’t Scott Walker also consult Jeff Sessions on immigration?

Walker should have been more outspoken when he came out with his very conservative immigration stance.

I hope all conservative politicians are learning from Trump that it is not a liability to be outspoken. Conservative positions are popular. Especially on immigration. There is no need to soft pedal opposition to illegal immigration.

Like Rush says, conservatism wins every time it’s tried.

Also, his single payer comment was from 15 years ago.

Obamacare has killed us...

I've always believed that was the intent all along. At least older folks, anyway.

Unless, of course, you are beholden to the COC/Amnesty lovers. Trump is not. Trump is not afraid to speak loud and clear about this, and other, issues.

If something doesn’t happen to dismantle the GOPe machine, they are going to sell out conservatism for cheap labor and a voting block that will make conservatives irrelevant for a generation.

And they will make the Constitution permanently irrelevant.

The question is whether Trump is the only alternative to the Republican establishment. In other words, only days ago we feared that the nomination was going over the old route trod by Dole, McCain, and Romney to Jeb but now it appears that Jeb missed his chance unless his money can salvage his campaign which seems unlikely going up against $15 billion. So the issue is no longer we must take Trump or we get Jeb because Jeb is less of a factor.

We don't need Trump, Ted Cruz will do very nicely against the GOPe machine because it is a proven warrior against them.

The two of them (Trump and Cruz) definitely have some kind of deal worked out. It’s no coincidence that they never have bad words for each other.

If the guy puts his mind to something

Please let me know when that becomes coherent enough to be ascertained.

Cruz on the ticket guarantees as much of the base turning out as possible.

Jeff Sessions, the last American patriot.

Now maybe there will be two.

Cruz can’t be elected. Check the polls.

Yes it was. He wrote it in his book published in 2000.

From reading the two books I get the sense that his heart was in the right place when he said it. He seems to really care about the plight of people that don’t have a lot of money.

Maybe it took Obamacare to make him realize that it was not the best way to help people.

That second paragraph sounds like me talking, and I’ll admit I haven’t read his book.
I haven’t read Cruz’s book either. I wish I could read more. (again health reasons)

A statement like that also gives me hope.

Thank you. God has pulled me back from the edge of that cliff a couple of times.
I’m a Cruz guy first, but if Trump does more of this he’ll pull me along for the ride.

I would think that since he met with Sessions on immigration and Forbes on his tax plan that he will also seek out the best minds on healthcare reform.
