ave ceiling fans everywhere. Temps for past 2 days over 100 outside & is predicted for next 5 days. I deal with it. My neighbors who have AC are paying about 4 ++ times my electric bill.

Good for you. I have Central AC and I run it 10 months of the year and if that jackass pope doesn't like it he can kiss my butt.

This is clearly the Yankees War Against Texas. If we shouldn’t have AC in summer, northerners should not have heat in winter. As for women griping about freezing. Put some sleeves on! Just because the Wookie in the White Hut lifts weights doesn’t ran that women have to show us their fabby upper arms year round.

My Catholic Church gives me a collection envelope each month that says “For Heating and Air Conditioning Costs”.

Shall I put a note in it telling them “you’re all going to Hell”?

“Bought my first house in 1966. Now in my third. Never had air conditioning in any home I have owned.

Your choice...and their choice.

When I run my AC, I open all the windows to help cool off the climate outdoors.

I applaud your efforts to fight Global Warming!

These people will not be satisfied until we are all back in huts sweeping dirt floors and running from Lions. Of course, they will still enjoy the comforts of private jets, aircon, and all other luxuries... Man I hate communists!

In his recent encyclical, Laudato Si’, he singled out air conditioning as a particularly good example of wasteful habits and excessive consumption that overcome our better natures:

I personally invite him to spend a summer here in Phoenix AZ, USA. We will shut off the AC for that summer to show good faith. We will even allow him to remove some of those heavy over garments.

“Send Laudato’s @$$ here to Phoenix. I can show him why air conditioning isn’t a harmful habit. Da boy needs to lay off da drugs for a while.”

You crack me up. Laudato Si is basically a book that the Pope writes. This particular edition he goes on about “our home,” the earth, and how we are messing it up. I’m not really sure why this matters. Yes, we should care for God’s creation and what he has given us, but he did destroy it once with a flood and promises to destroy it with fire.

Ceiling fans bug my sinuses and give ma a sore throat. I turned on the furnace fan early this morning, and it helped a lot, and wasn’t blowing directly on me. If I’m too hot sleeping, I get non-stop nightmares, and wake up very disturbed many times during the night. I’ll take AC! I was thinking of getting a portable one that I could use in my bedroom at night, and in my home office during the day.

"I like my air conditioning the way I like my guns."

You can have my AC when you pry my frozen blue fingers from around it! You sweat-lathered B.O.-bags!

Air conditioning makes life in cities possible, especially in the south. Atlanta, Houston, Nashville and Dallas would not exist in their present form without it. The Agenda 21 types want to herd us into cities, and then deprive us of air conditioning. They really do want to “cull the herd,” don’t they?

They won’t take anybody’s AC away.
They will just raise energy prices high enough to make it unaffordable for most.

Yes, but they’re comfortable. I’ve lived without AC, I’ve lived with AC. It’s supposed to be 105 humid degrees today, I’m sticking with AC.

I also have a problem with too much air conditioning.
Used to work in an office where the boss insisted on setting it down to 64. Have had upper respiratory issues in heavy A/C ever since. Had A/C installed in my 100 yr. old house a few years ago when I had to get a new furnace. Not much more to add and increases the home value. I think I have run it maybe 5 days this summer.

***Live in rural Northern Nevada with my 6 horses and 3 dogs.**

No wonder, a low humidity area! You should try living in the Indian territory in Oklahoma where the temp last week was 95 degrees and the humidity extremely high. It felt like 110 in Grove Oklahoma! Sweat does not evaporate off the skin, it runs down making you feel worse.

I lived in NW New Mexico with a humidity of 12% and did not need air conditioning.
I left NM when the temp was 98 degrees and no AC. Got to central Arkansas a few days later, went into a store with the outside temp 98 degrees. When I left the store I almost collapsed as the humidity was so high,78%, It felt like 135 degrees outside.
