Al Franken backs Iran deal, 5th of 9 Jewish Senate Democrats to do so
JTA ^ | aug 13 2015 | JTA

WASHINGTON (JTA) — Sen. Al Franken endorsed the Iran nuclear deal, becoming the fifth of nine Jewish senators to back the agreement.

“Many have expressed reservations about the deal, and I share some of those reservations,” Franken, D-Minn., wrote in an Op-Ed on CNN’s website.

“It isn’t a perfect agreement,” he said. “But it is a strong one. This agreement is, in my opinion, the most effective, realistic way to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon anytime in the next 15 years.”

A Jew is a Jew unless he’s not a Jew imitating a Jew confused about what it is to be a Jew yet not honest enough to reject Judaism wanting the minority status but still doing every thing he can to bring harm to all Jews every where..

AND I thought BLACKS were BAD... in their self hatred..

Being a democrat ain’t easy.. first you MUST become a MORON..

Franken’s religion is not a factor in his political thinking. Keeping his place in line to worship (or whatever it is that he does) at the feet of his muslim leader is what’s important to him as it clearly is to all members of the socialist democrat caucus of which he is a member.

The Leftist desire to harm America trumps support for Israel. After the election cycle is over the politicians in question can return to the fold. They will be forgiven.

Is Franken the crack-pot that got his start on Saturday Night Live 40 years ago?

That’s what happens when you have a Communist like Mark Ritchie as Secretary of State. Minnesota DFL’ers are also proud of the ties between Mark Ritchie and Georgy Schwartz, another kapo. 2016, watch for more strategically “abandoned” cars near small towns with a trunkful of premarked ballots.

Obama Pledges Cuts in Missile Defense, Space, and Nuclear Weapons Programs

February 29, 2008 :: News
MissileThreat.com

A video has surfaced of Presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama talking on his plans for strategic issues such as nuclear weapons and missile defense.

The full text from the video, as released, reads as follows:

Thanks so much for the Caucus4Priorities, for the great work you've been doing. As president, I will end misguided defense policies and stand with Caucus4Priorities in fighting special interests in Washington.

First, I'll stop spending $9 billion a month in Iraq. I'm the only major candidate who opposed this war from the beginning. And as president I will end it.[not win it -etl]

Second, I will cut tens of billions of dollars in wasteful spending.

I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems.

I will not weaponize space.

I will slow our development of future combat systems.

And I will institute an independent "Defense Priorities Board" to ensure that the Quadrennial Defense Review is not used to justify unnecessary spending.

Third, I will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons. To seek that goal, I will not develop new nuclear weapons; I will seek a global ban on the production of fissile material; and I will negotiate with Russia to take our ICBMs off hair-trigger alert [they are NOT on "hair-trigger alert" now -etl], and to achieve deep cuts in our nuclear arsenals.

You know where I stand. I've fought for open, ethical and accountable government my entire public life. I don't switch positions or make promises that can't be kept. I don't posture on defense policy and I don't take money from federal lobbyists for powerful defense contractors. As president, my sole priority for defense spending will be protecting the American people. Thanks so much.

Obama To Betray Missile Defense Secrets To Moscow
Investor's Business Daily ^ | January 9, 2012 | IBD staff

Appeasement: From ObamaCare to recess appointments, honoring the Constitution has not been an administration hallmark. But when it comes to betraying secrets to mollify the Russians, it becomes a document the president hides behind.

It was bad enough that the 2012 defense authorization bill signed by President Obama set America on a downward spiral of military mediocrity.

He also issued a signing statement, something he once opposed, saying that language in the bill aimed at protecting top-secret technical data on the U.S. Standard Missile-3 — linchpin of our missile defense — might impinge on his constitutional foreign-policy authority.

Section 1227 of the defense law prohibits spending any funds that would be used to give Russian officials access to sensitive missile-defense technology as part of a cooperation agreement without first sending Congress a report identifying the specific secrets, how they'd be used and steps to protect the data from compromise.

The president is required to certify that any technology shared will not be passed on to third parties such as China, North Korea or Iran, that the Russians will not use transferred secrets to develop countermeasures and that the Russians are reciprocating in sharing missile-defense technology.

Open Mic Catches Obama Asking Medvedev for Space on Missile Defense
March 26, 2012

"In a private conversation about the planned U.S.-led NATO missile defense system in Europe, President Barack Obama asked outgoing Russian President Dmitry Medvedev for space on the issue.

This is my last election,” Obama told Medvedev. “After my election I have more flexibility.”

“I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir,” Medvedev said, referring to incoming President Vladimir Putin."

__________________________________________________

Obama was talking with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev when neither of them realized that their conversation was being picked up by microphones. Here is what they said:

Obama: “On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved, but it’s important for him to give me space.”

Medvedev: “Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you ...”

Obama: “This is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility.”

Medvedev: “I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.”

“This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.” That statement tells us much about the president’s mindset.

The specific mention of missile defense is worrisome enough. Mr. Obama has retreated from the missile defense plan that was negotiated with European allies during the George W. Bush administration. Apparently, he is signaling Moscow that he intends to retreat further. The clear implication from the president’s comments is that he cannot tell the American people before the election what he plans to do after the election.

In addition, there is the phrase “on all these issues,” implying more is at stake than just missile defense.”

Like I say.

The GOP: The Stupid Party
The Democrats: The Party of the Stupid.

The difference is the Democrats know how stupid the American people are and know how to work that to their advantage.

I still find it amazing that the staid old GOP is scratching its head, trying to figure out why Trump is so popular. Can they really be that stupid?

That’s exactly right. I read a book by Norman Podhoretz, called “Why are Jews Liberal?” and he just didn’t answer it. Some of it is the historical Jewish guilt, some of it comes from being in a minority that was discriminated against and an empathy with others in a similar position. But ultimately, it’s incomprehensible.

I just emailed Sen. Franken with the following and will be contacting his office. Probably to no avail.

Sen. Franken I just came to the knowledge that you have supported the deal recently made between the US and Iran. I am extremely curious why, as a citizen of the US which is additionally of the Jewish faith, you would want the Islamic Republic of Iran to have access to more money in which to fund terrorist groups that target not only Jewish people, but the US and basically any nation or people in the world that do not adhere to their religious beliefs?

As a person who lives in the state of Minnesota, which is part of the United States of America, a country your position is in part, supposed to protect, I have concerns also over the fact that in the same deal Iran can purchase and develop ICBM missiles that can strike the US, which Iran prior to the deal, could not do. A bigger concern however is that now, they will be developing nuclear weapons in the foreseeable future, because of this deal.

I am pretty certain the US, Israel and basically any other nation Iran have directly attacked or taken citizens into their prisons from, would be thankful if you were to drop your support.

However! Should you continue your support of this deal, I am certain you could perhaps respond as to why.

Your comment reads like the words of a good college liberal struggling to cope with some conservative thoughts yet failing to actually come about as a full conservative.
