SAN ANTONIO — A Jewish community on the North Side woke to widespread anti-Semitic vandalism Wednesday morning that included spray-painted swastikas, “KKK” lettering and other hateful slurs.
“(We are) saddened and outraged,” said Howard Feinberg, a board member of the Rodfei Sholom Congregation, located near Northwest Military Drive and Huebner Road. “When we were finishing our morning prayers around 7 a.m., we became aware that in the neighborhood around our synagogue, there was a lot of graffiti of the anti-Semitic and racial nature.”
More than 30 cars and homes were tagged with hateful graffiti sometime overnight, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
An anti-Semitic crime has not been reported in San Antonio in the past two years, according to the Anti-Defamation League, a national group that tracks such incidents.
“This is where we walk our children for learning, for synagogue, where families congregate and gather to strengthen their relationship with God and with one another,” said Winslow Swart, another board member at Rodfei Sholom, over the hum of a pressure washer cutting through graffiti.

Yes, just like the Jews rioting in Ferguson.
I don’t blame you for staying away from San Antonio. It’s also been a city with much crime in general. Parts of San Antonio, C.C. and Brownsville have been rough for a very long time.

I’d look more towards the Latin community, particularly the more recent arrivals. Many Latin Americans are virulently anti-Semitic.

I wouldn't assume this is a Muslim incident, though it could be. There are non Muslim Jew haters, and the administration has legitimized displays of antisemitism, just as they have abuse of the police and demonization of the right . Sure, they'd prefer people talking amongst themselves and in the media about Jewish money and conspiracies rather than graffiti, but once you legitimize the feelings, you can't control it's expression.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a couple of teenagers.
I have been based in San Antonio many times and know this ship well. They are republican.
They are. A conservative church showed up with power washers and went to work. I tend to favor the bored kids approach.
Agree with the thoughts expressed by others on this thread that the recent Obama manifestations of anti-Semitism with respect to his Iran agreement and his battles with the Jewish community could contribute to inspiring anti-Semitic incidents such as this all over the country.
Obies anti WHITE blathering certainly spawned a great deal of anti social behavior...in the last few years didnt it.
