Obama’s Massive Failure Has Delivered Trump’s Success
The Fiscal Times ^ | August 12, 2015 | Liz Peek

No president in our country’s history has been more concerned about his legacy than has Barack Obama. How ironic that people might someday best remember our first African-American Commander in Chief for having inspired the candidacy of Donald Trump.

Six years of Obama forcing unpopular policies down Americans’ throats; six years of lies and misdeeds by unaccountable bureaucrats; six years of lame growth and resulting wage suppression; six years of appeasing our enemies and facing down our friends; six years of dividing the country – they have all taken their toll.

People are angry and are willing to champion a bombastic billionaire best known for insulting people as our next president. Trump’s “campaign message” is vitriol unleashed – towards our enemies, undocumented immigrants and anyone else who crosses his path. His supporters see him breaking free of political correctness, or correctness itself for that matter, and they love Trump for voicing their outrage. They view him as the perfect antidote to President Obama.

Mainstream Americans feel marginalized – pushed to the back of the pack, while the plight of transgenders in the military or imprisoned blacks takes center stage. Worse, they have been lectured and held accountable for the country’s problems. Obama has hinted that white Christian Americans are racist -- indifferent to the travails of blacks and Hispanics and unreasonably hostile to Muslims.

The president has told them that “racism is in our DNA” while liberals have claimed “society itself is to blame” for the schism between blacks and police, as Charles Blow wrote in a recent New York Times op-ed. For a country that twice elected a black man to our highest office, that is an affront....

I was going to say that this was an excellent article, and it is very good, but the author fails to even mention the fact that the MSM is thoroughly corrupt and is an active and willing co-conspirator with ramming these unpopular issues down middle America’s throat.

Without the active and eager participation of the wholly dishonest media there would be NO Obama.

I agree Obama’s failures are massive, but the conditions that have opened the American voters minds to Trump have been building for several decades: opens borders and little immigration law enforcement at least since 1986, massive bad trade deals beginning with NAFTA passed in 1993, the accumulated $18.5 trillion debt and the increasingly sluggish economy brought about by the first three and other factors.

While you are correct, Obama’s objective is evidence of his mentality:

He is unable to see the comnection between work and productivity.

He is unable to see the connection between finite/diminishing reources (due to regulation and confiscation) and lack thereof in the marketplace where it can create growth.

He is unable to delegate, trust, collaborate, persuade, listen, or share credit.

He has been convinced, obviously, that to think the ‘correct’ way is enough to reap rewards of money and political power. By the same token, he flies into a frustrated, aggressive rage when he encounters the inevitable difference of opinion.

I’m not excusing his petulant, adolescent outlook but it is a simple matter to identify its origins.

As with the rest of his so called achievements, he thinks he can make a speech and will a legacy into existence.

It’s inevitable to have a Trump as the next POTUS. Americans will stand only so much of a weak leader. Thus we had Reagan after Carter, next will be a Trump ot Cruz after Obmama.
