It’s unfortunate that the president of the United States seems to really believe that Israel and the American Jewish community was responsible for taking America to war in Iraq. But Obama is not an anti-Semite and it seems he doesn’t even really want to use anti-Jewish dog whistles, like he did last month on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. But the JCPOA is the cornerstone of his foreign policy legacy and he’s determined to win.
It's not that difficult to see that the author of this piece, one Lee Smith, is a in all likelihood a leftist who voted for Obama and is trying to play this controversy in an "even-handed" manner. Memo to Smith: As Forrest Gump might tell you, antisemite is as antisemite does. I'd be quite sure that Smith would be much quicker to call a Republican president an antisemite under similar circumstances.

Does anyone remember the No Nukes concerts back in the 80’s? They were the brainchild of Jackson Browne and John hall, former lead singer of Orleans (still the One) and my former congressman from NY. They were done to raise awareness of the dangers of nuclear proliferation, particularly under the eevil Reagan regime. Springsteen, Pat Benatar, U2, The Talking Heads, Sting an up and coming Madonna and just about anyone who was someone performed at these venues. Now that the madmen in Iran are on the fast track to obtaining nukes of their own, perhaps these concerts will be revived to warn a new generation of the clear and present danger of a nuclear holocaust?
