Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Monday he supported the use of US ground troops to fight Islamic State militants in the Middle East.
Speaking on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" program, the billionaire businessman said it would take American soldiers to target the militant group, also known as ISIS or ISIL.
"They have great money because they have oil," Trump said. "Every place where they have oil I would knock the hell out of them.
"I would knock out the source of their wealth, the primary sources of their wealth, which is oil," he told MSNBC. "And in order to do that, you would have to put boots on the ground. I would knock the hell out of them, but I'd put a ring around it and I'd take the oil for our country."

he’s right though. Devastating their finances makes a hell of a lot of a sense as ISIS is basically a crimin al/mercenary outfit that is very much reliant on capital. And once you have taken their oil holdings away from them, you kind of have to keep control of it so they don’t take it back. We don’t need the oil. We just need them to not have it.
He is such a pant-load.
I cannot believe a slew of "conservatives" actually like this guy - just because he lacks a "vocal filter" and spews out whatever comes to his mind, good or bad.

Notice they never asked Donald about this during the debate. Too busy with gotcha questions. He has by far the most specific plan for dealing with ISIS of any of them. First find a general like a Patton or MacArthur who will put winning first, and turn him loose. Second, bomb every oil field ISIS holds. Third go in and take the oil to pay for it, In other words, if we are forced to spend lives and treasure to stop ISIS, we are going to get something back. Works for me.

Good for you Donald. About time someone fought wars with victory in mind. And if we don’t have the oil, and the Iraqis can’t protect it, he’s right, we should destroy the fields, just like the Brits did to the some of French Navy in WW II when the French couldn’t keep it out of German hands.
