I’m pretty Conservative. But here’s what gets me. While crazy leftwing liberals will vote for candidates they see as merely moderate leftwingers, Conservatives are completely against voting for a candidate that doesn’t satisfy their every desire. And that’s fine. Just don’t be surprised when we have a legit Socialist in the oval office.

No, that is 100% entirely incorrect. Conservatives are simply sick and tired of getting screwed by the less than perfect candidates they DO vote for. Where were you for the 2010 and 2014 elections? Supposedly, Conservatives "won". But you couldn't tell that by the actions of the elected elite. What we ARE saying is, NO MORE. The GOP is dead. These are the last gasps of a traitorous party's demise.

The Kamikaze Conservatives believe that it is far more important to take a principled stand than to win elections. Consequently, liberals win far more elections than they should. The Kamikaze Conservatives are so smug about staying home or voting for hopeless Libertarians in protest.

McCain received more votes than Romney because of such shallow thinking. Obama won twice because of the folks that stayed home because GOP candidates were not pure enough or of the wrong religion. Liberals just love such fools.

Successful politics is about the art of compromise. Reagan was a master at that. He accomplished all that could be accomplished and didn't waste effort on useless and/or unwinable causes.
