Savage lambasted Megan Kelly for her lead question to Don Trump; his "documented quotes" about women.. "it's now clear... that she's gone over to the dark side... her new stance is even changing her looks... It's as clear as a bell that 'Mayhem Kelly' has gone over to the dark side, and frankly her looks are changing."

Following a supernaturally existing Leader was a concept that was hard on them. Once the drama of the fire and pillars of smoke was gone, they could not grok it.

Actually Israel cried out for a King first....They got Saul...a mighty warrior he would be...but power went to his head and he ended up falling on his own sword.

...”What I will say, is that list of 50 questions, that’s what serious folks want to hear about. Those are important things that we are facing now or in the near future......
Where do these guys stand on them? We need to know....

Repeat this many times.

I don’t think it’s good for Trump talk like that, but do you think they cared one iota about that when Lyndon Johnson was exponentially worse? No. And consider how outside the bounds it was back then in light of contemporary culture. It was light years ahead of what Trump has done.

In this day and age culture is course. Should it be? No.

This is a guy they don’t like, and they simply are not going to let him participate. That’s all this is about.

There was ample Old Testament background for this impulse towards Jesus.

In the N.T. context, this would be the guy who unites Israel with power to send the occupying Romans packing. Because they wanted earthly glory.

And Jesus’ attitude was, don’t worry about the earthly glory. Get the heavenly glory right. That continues to exist even under the worst earthly conditions, precisely because it IS heavenly.

Not saying it isn’t a challenge.

But it’s a perpetual misdirection trap. Israel thus oriented soon became no better than its kings. When a king was good and worked reforms, the people followed. When the next king was bad and worshiped idols, guess what.

Christian faith could, to some extent, reverse the situation. Never perfectly because we do not have the situation of a divinely dedicated nation, only a happy arrangement of history.

Kelly had her marching orders. The questioning was bizarre.

The silver lining is the absolute distraction it had on the GOP-e’s mission to promote it’s protégé.

You know, I think back to the Judges and Kings. Wehn the children of Israel petitioned God for a king and He relented. I have a hard time understanding a concept where there isn’t a leader. I see the King as a natural leader. What were they supposed to do, only listen to the Priests?

God gave them the law, and they were supposed to follow it. It was not a time when a real king was available. God gave them one when they insisted, but it didn't work out because there was no true king available.

In effect, rather than accept personal responsibility for following the law, they preferred to hide behind a false king. So God agreed in order to teach them that they could not get away with that escape plan.

Unfortunately, the world has been repeating that mistake ever since then, so much so that when God grants a true king, you can be sure that they'd rather turn against him to keep avoiding having to face the law that he, as a true king, would insist they'd obey.

Its utterly childish, really. That such arrogant, cruel and spiritually stupid juvenile delinquents have been allowed to get this far, for so long, is incredible. And of course, they now consider themselves gods for having successfully refused the true law for so long.

I think they're in for a big shock.

Anyhow, I think we are in a position where, if enough people are willing, we could recover the “heavenly attitude under siege” point of view.

We don’t like sieges, they are inconvenient, we feel freer if we imagine them gone or nonentities. But then we begin becoming the godless barbarians ourselves.

They thought an earthly king would be more friendly towards their sinfulness.

One important thing to note is that the Law is impossible for born sinners to keep. It shows them up for the sinners they are, no matter how hard they try.

It takes salvation to give them an independent reason to care about what the Law speaks about.

Yes, the dynasty dynamics are becoming quite thick here, even though it’s clear that most people hate the ideas he espouses.
