Donald Trump fires back at Carly Fiorina
CBS News ^ | August 9th, 2015 | By Reena Flores

Bombastic billionaire Donald Trump is leveling his criticisms at fellow Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina, saying she has "zero chance" at winning the GOP nomination.

"I just realized that if you listen to Carly Fiorina for more than ten minutes straight, you develop a massive headache," Trump said Sunday in a Twitter post.

His denunciation of Fiorina marks a fast turnaround from three days ago, when Trump told Fox News that he thought she had been "an effective debater."

Trump's recent tweet continues a battle between Trump and the tech executive that began Friday, when Trump implied Fox News debate moderator Megyn Kelly asked sharp questions because she was hormonal with "blood coming out of her wherever."

He has less than a zero percent possibility to be the nominee. Time to move on to serious candidates.

At best he is the circus clown and does not advance the Republican brand. He may as well be on Hillary’s payroll.

I know a lot of people are enamored with him but he cannot and will not be the nominee. Not in this world or any alternate universe else for that matter.

There are six viable candidates in no particular order.

1) Bush
2) Kasich
3) Christie
4) Rubio
5) Walker
6) Fiorina

That’s it.

All the rest should pack their tents and go home.

I see a Rubio/Kasich ticket or vice versa. I could also see a Bush/Rubio candidacy. I doubt Bush would take second fiddle.

I could see a steamroller put Fiorina at the top of the ticket or on the bottom of the ticket with either Rubio or Kasich on the ticket.

Cruz is not going to be the candidate. Just won’t happen.

Huckabee has foot in mouth disease. Perry needs to go back to ranching or whatever he does now. Paul is toast. Too thin skinned. Carson could make the VP cut. Not at the top, though. Christie’s day in the sun is over. I can’t see how he can prevail with his “hug” and “Bridgegate” and is not now popular in his own state.

A real dark horse might be Jim Gilmore but I doubt it. But he does have the pedigree to offer.

I got a laugh out of the Rick Astley pic. The lyrics - or should I call them "bullet points" - are freakin' PERFECT for lampooning political promises.

"Because I wouldn't ever wanna see you frown, I'll always do what's best for you!"
(I'm Rick Astley and I approve this message.)

I never gave much thought as to whom it applies

So why do you post mindless blather?

If you’ve ever been rick rolled, maybe then you’d get it.

Oh I get it, the fact you posted it and answered it that way tells me what I need to know.....thanks for confirming it.

I don’t want a win with a liberal. And I’ll be voting Cruz. Join me or not.

And I don’t know for sure but I think the election is a week’ish or so away and a lot can change in a weeks time...

Or a year and a half.

“Cruz totally destroyed at commandment. It is no longer valid.”

Cruz was BLATANTLY LIED to. I seriously doubt that Reagan would have lived up to that commandment, in that case.

Cruz cannot win alone. He is the most pure constitutional, Christian, conservative no doubt, but he cannot win until Trump smashes the DNC MSM GOPe a- holes.
Let him do his thing, select Cruz as his running mate and then pick up the presidency as a winning, popular well known and trusted vp.
Otherwise he will lose.
Only Trump can pull voters from all walks.
It is about time you all started supporting that strategy, because your pure conservative dream will not and never has worked.

“Cruz is not going to be the candidate. Just won’t happen.”

Because you keep saying it along with others who say it like a parrot with no basis for the statement. Look up self fulfilling prophecy.

A guy a year and a half out that is getting record cash infusions and winning polls is a funny guy to dismiss out of hand.

Several other posters on the thread enjoyed the Rick post.
You didn’t. So it goes.

He can win the nomination, he cannot win the election.
Cruz is seen as a hard right Christian constitutional conservative and will only be confirmed in that by the MSM, BECAUSE HE IS A TRUEHEART.
You need to win first and ONLY tTrump can make that happen. Otherwise, Cruz is going nowhere.

I am not trying to shatter your worldview, i am trying to inject some hard and obvious truths.

You and I are having similar thoughts.

I’m so worried that this year....with a plethora of good and great candidates, no less....will repeat the nasty debacle of 2012.

(or the third party driven loss of ‘92)

Reagan’s 11th commandment applied when Republicans were content to sit in the back of the bus for 40 years while the Democrats drove the nation over the cliff

Reagan’s 11th commandment was broken repeatedly in 2008 and 2012.

Look where THAT got us.

"That’s it"

Why can't these viable candidates out poll the current leader?

Has he cast a spell upon his supporters? Or, perchance, are they all just stupid?

I’ve been following politics since Harry Truman. I know what I am talking about. Cruz is not going to be the candidate. He might be a good cabinet official and if he can somehow rehabilitate his image as a saboteur of the Senate he could later come back but he’s going to have to have a personality transplant.

Is he smart? Is the Pope Catholic? Of course. But IQ levels does not equal a president. He has to change and it is too late for this cycle. Do not confuse him with Reagan. Reagan was pragmatic and kept his eye on the ball. Cruz would rather tilt at windmills in a losing cause than clean up his act. Therefore he has no chance at the candidacy. It’s that simple.
