That’s funny; I’ve worked with several South Americans (Colombians, Ecuadorans, Peruvians), and they all dislike Argentines - apparently they look down on the non-European South Americans.
A joke from one of them: An Argentinian son says to his father, “Some day I want to grow up to be just like you.” The father asks, “Really? Why?” To which the son responds, “So I can have a son just like me...”.
Argentina gave Che to the world.
Did you know that Che’s real last name is “Lynch”. He is of Irish and Basque heritage.
Lol! I lived in SoFlo for 20 years. It was a fantastic experience for exposure to the different cultures. Yes, I had the same thing about the Argentinians for folks from other countries. Also similar things about Mexico, from what I hear the ladies cannot stand Mexican “machos”. For myself, I’m just trying to find out what does translate directly in one country and what translates into a profanity in another and learn their menu. And personally, I mourn the loss of Mexico as a friend and alley. I used to have so much fun there but now I can’t talk any of the family into risking a visit.
