Lol! I lived in SoFlo for 20 years. It was a fantastic experience for exposure to the different cultures. Yes, I had the same thing about the Argentinians for folks from other countries. Also similar things about Mexico, from what I hear the ladies cannot stand Mexican “machos”. For myself, I’m just trying to find out what does translate directly in one country and what translates into a profanity in another and learn their menu. And personally, I mourn the loss of Mexico as a friend and alley. I used to have so much fun there but now I can’t talk any of the family into risking a visit.
Yes, relations with Mexico have gone downhill lately; wanted to visit there years ago, but now wouldn’t dare. My auto insurance covers me in Canada but not Mexico (in part due to the rampant corruption - if a police chief wants your car, it is his).
