Donald Trump continues to take fire from his competitors for the Republican nomination for president after controversial comments he made about Fox News Channel’s Megyn Kelly. Carly Fiorina and former Gov. George Pataki (R-NY) chimed in late Friday evening, and several other candidates added their voices on Saturday.

Last time around the candidates agreed to a Dec 27th debate moderated by Donald Trump. I think this will end with a short televised series called Presidential Apprentice where all the candidates will have to impress Donald Trump and one by one someone will get fired. The last remaining candidate will get Trump’s endorsement and perhaps some campaign money as the winner of Presidential Apprentice.

I suspect Linda Graham and Rand Paul will be the first two to get fired. Jeb wont get fired until the end when it’s just he, Ben Carson and Ted Cruz left.

Fiorina is jumping on the bandwagon because she is desperate for ratings nothing more. She has gone establishment too.

So, all the others see a chance to knock out the front runner then jockey for positions under the new set of vampire liberals.

Just who are the conservatives on the list?

1. Cruz

I have my own reservations about Trump and his long term viability.

But right now the GOP is lucky and blessed to have him involved in the primary.

He is stirring things up. He is forcing discussions about things that need to be discussed in the open air.

And he is attracting huge numbers of people to the debate where they hear it all.

No hired PR agency. No consultant. No media campaign. No other avenue would accomplish all of that.

24 million people watched the debate the other night. A lot of them came to see and hear Trump...but in so doing, they heard extraordinary things, messages spot on target from people like Carsen and Cruz that they otherwise would not have heard.

I heard him on CNN. To me it sounded like he was mixing his metaphors “murder in the eyes” with “out for blood”. That doesn’t square with blood someplace else, but it does square with him accusing the guy of the same thing. (I’ve been out all day).

Yes. Donald Trump is no less an enigma than Senator Barack Obama was in 2006. Many have forgotten because Big T says all the right things.

Trump is foolish to get into a personal food fight with Kelly, but the faux outrage on her behalf is foolish too. Megan is a big girl who wasn’t too shy to answer Howard Stern’s crude questions and laugh about it. She will end up with bigger ratings than ever over this.

Trump is not a conservative. He’s a Republican in name only. He’s a crony capitalist. He is not demonstrably pro-life, and, until recently was for PARTIAL-BIRTH abortion, arguably the most extreme pro abortion position a person can have.
