Donald Trump Turns Conservatives Into Liberal PC Word Police
Mediaite ^ | 08/08/2015

Just when you thought Donald Trump‘s presidential run couldn’t get any more absurd, the real estate mogul embroils himself in a feud with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly, and consequently turned the most influential voice of the online right into a humorless college student looking for a safe space. Redstate chief Erick Erickson has banned Donald Trump from the Redstate gathering over his offensive comments, an irony so rich, you could frost a gay wedding cake with it.

In response to Trump’s off-the-cuff comment about Kelly’s metaphorical bleeding orifices, Erickson took to the stage Saturday morning, and explained his decision to ban Trump:

I think Cruz knows he has as much chance as Pataki, but he's playing position. We'll know if he jumps on the Trash Trump Bandwagon.

I agree with your first sentence, though I doubt we'll see Cruz bash Trump during this campaign.

Remember that Ted was the first candidate to come to Trump's support when he first began talking about illegal immigration and the border fence. In fact, I'm not sure if any others ever did.

Later, Trump and Cruz had a private closed door meeting at Trump Tower. No one knows what they discussed, but the consensus is they cemented some sort of alliance.

As far as the race is concerned, if you look at it like a major league playoff situation, there's only one team that is capable of beating the establishment, and that's Team Trump.

If he falls by the wayside for any reason, I think we're sunk as a country. The Dems and RINOs will import so many new foreigners to America, we'll never win the presidency again.

A media person who isn't running for POTUS, a liberal Republican in Jeb, and a RINO democrat in Trump.

I don't need to vote for any of them, so I won't.

That's what I was referring to. If Cruz bashes Trump, then there wasn't any kind of "alliance."

As it stands, my hope is that at some point as Cruz numbers contract and they need a shot in the arm a Trump/Cruz ticket will be announced. What was sneered at in the Bush/Chenney administration will become a great selling point for a Trump/Cruz administration.

Ping so that people get a chance to read your post if they missed it...

Eddie, there comes a time when you've got to take stock of the situation and admit to yourself that you've been playing by the rules of a game that's been rigged against you for ages.

Now is that time.

There's only one party in DC, and that's the Uniparty. There are probably something on the order of a mere dozen or so elected reps at the national level who even take their oath of office seriously. The rest are either bought, cowed, blackmailed, or have been browbeaten into submission by the DC cartel.

And the America people know this. It's why they're so angry. They sent Republicans to Washington in a wave election, but it did no good. The GOP now stands for Give Obama Power.

This is why an outsider like Trump is resonating with the people. He's beyond their reach, and does not answer to them or their demands. He's completely 'off the reservation', as far as the political game goes. He's more in tune with what the American people think about the issues facing us today. So much so, that he's far outranked every competitor in the field, so far - which also goes to show you how far off beam the rest of them are.

We're at an historic turning point. The next election is for all the marbles. If we fail to elect a true reformer again, it's all over, but for the crying. True Americans will become a permanent minority in short order, and our country will be lost.

Under these dire conditions, a third party bid for the White House has a better chance of success than at any time in living memory.
