Donald Trump Turns Conservatives Into Liberal PC Word Police
Mediaite ^ | 08/08/2015

Just when you thought Donald Trump‘s presidential run couldn’t get any more absurd, the real estate mogul embroils himself in a feud with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly, and consequently turned the most influential voice of the online right into a humorless college student looking for a safe space. Redstate chief Erick Erickson has banned Donald Trump from the Redstate gathering over his offensive comments, an irony so rich, you could frost a gay wedding cake with it.

In response to Trump’s off-the-cuff comment about Kelly’s metaphorical bleeding orifices, Erickson took to the stage Saturday morning, and explained his decision to ban Trump:

I understood that it wasn’t you. I don’t necessarily agree with Trump on that, but some folks seem to be striving to prove him right. LOL

Some of this is frustrating and some of it verges on humorous.

You’ve lied.

I have NEVER lied and those are fighting words where I come from (Georgia).

I will forgive DoughtyOne as we go back years.

You can call me wrong
You can call me stupid
You can call me a dupe.

Those could even be true

But I am not, and have never been, a liar.

Are we clear now?

Hardly clear at all.

Let’s see if we can clear this up.

Did you listen to the video, the part you said it was at?

What did you hear?

What did you hear?

I listened to it over and over. He said this:

"You could see there was blood was coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her [pause] wherever".
That is what he said verbatim.

If you don't think it was a big deal, fine.

But it is what he said.

My, my, you have such powers of prognostication.

On a more serious note, if the only prevention for Clinton or Bush is Trump, we are already cooked. The Donald is not a solution, he is, perhaps, an even bigger disaster waiting to happen. Why? Because if he is, as you intimate, answerable only to himself, where would that leave us if - when! - he goes out of control?

You're obviously entitled to your opinion, but I don't see any evidence that Donald Trump would be a "disaster" for America, as president.

If you're afraid that he would ignore outside pressure and follow his own counsel while in office, doing what he thinks is right for the country, you're probably right.

There's also no guarantee that everyone would be thrilled with executive decisions he'd take, to try and restore our country. On the way to fixing what's broken, he may well gore some sacred cows, which would certainly anger some people.

But he's used to that. His many years in business have taught him that those with less grasp of situations are often too timid to do what's needed to win, because they're frightened of failure. I think his decades of winning at high stakes projects would serve him well in the capacity of chief executive of the land.

One thing I do know, is that he's correctly identified many of the most lethal issues facing the country, and has pledged to turn those things around in America's favor. It doesn't even take a genius to drum up the solutions. Freepers have been posting the most obvious and workable answers to those problems for years. To his credit, Trump has also identified most of those correct solutions, and says that he intends to fully implement them, if elected.

Friend, we're at a watershed moment in time. Look around you. Where are the rock solid constitutional conservatives who have the requisite name recognition, character, resume, and financial backing to overcome the Clinton/Bush/Media/GOP-e/Dem cartel?

Please name just one. If you know of one, please ask them to run for office right now, because otherwise, the establishment is going to complete Obama's fundamental transformation of America within the next five years.

If you can't name that person, and I don't think you can, then it's time to come to the sobering realization that Trump is probably our very last chance to win our country back within the civil mechanisms laid down by the Framers.

If Trump would take him as Veep, we’d get a fulfillment of McCain’s failed promise of Palin.

So true. I'm almost afraid to wish for it, for fear of jinxing such a wonderful outcome.

Well said and I agree. It is Trump and a lot of work, or more of the same via Jeb/Hillary and America is completely transformed/destroyed.

You have to give McCain credit for political strategy. Promise us Palin as a sitting VP when his term was over.

I sure went for it. It was the ONLY reason I voted for him.

Too bad he screwed the pooch in the execution, and poisoned the well for a Palin follow-up.

Bastard.

Bet the idiot lost his attendance and viewership by 2/3. Way to punish Trump and keep him in the news over a misstatement.

Same here. Until McCain named Palin as his running mate, I was completely down in the dumps about our prospects. I just could not believe, that of all the candidates at the start of the race, we wound up with the least likely contender as our standard bearer.

I never liked McCain, and even refused to display his bumper sticker. On the other hand, I still have Palin buttons and so-forth from 2008.

When she chose not to run in 2012, my heart was mortally wounded, as I felt (and still feel) that she is in the upper tenth of the upper tenth of our very best. We desperately needed her to seize that moment, but in the end, she walked away from her destiny.

And now we come to another election, and this time the situation is even more dire. The Dems are racing against time to flood the country with enough foreigners, that it will permanently tip the balance of electoral votes in their favor.

If that happens, we can truly kiss our America good bye. Under such a warlike circumstance, I choose to support the one and only candidate who is clearly capable of defeating the combined forces of the Clinton/Bush/Media/GOP-e/Dem cabal, and that is Donald Trump.

Imperfect as he may be on the outside, he's got all the right stuff on the inside. He can't be bought, he can't be cowed, he can't be scared off, he can't be fooled, he can't be blackmailed, and he is bound and determined to restore this country to greatness.

Frankly, I believe she did the calculation and determined she came up short.

I can't blame her for that.

I think Cruz knows he has as much chance as Pataki, but he's playing position. We'll know if he jumps on the Trash Trump Bandwagon.
