Good one.

Exactly!
Last cycle she pushed Christie and then Romney, telling us how he was the only one who could win.

“Otherwise, if we criticize Obama and excuse Cruz, we set a bad practice—playing politics.”

The practice is playing politics and this is politics. If
Cruz is unqualified then so is the Obama. And if the Obama
is found to be unqualified then everything he has done and
signed into law is null and void. On that I’ll take my
chances with Cruz.

I've read enough on my own and have thought about "natural born citizenship", defined as I wrote, and how the concepts connect together historically, legally and psychologically to believe that what I was taught in the 5th or 6th grade in the early 1970s is correct.

And what I was taught is what I posted, though I regret that I didn't express it very well.

Yes, I am well aware that voicing the opinion that I did has gotten quite a few people banned when they got into serious arguments about it. I have also seen examples where the site owners' opinions/beliefs about it and Ted Cruz was the reason for posters to quit FR.

I respect the strong opinions here and have no need to fight about it. I stated what I know to be the truth and then leave it be. People can do with it what they will.

I know from first hand and sometimes painful experience that humans can and will rationalize anything they want badly enough, so in this case why get into that fight or run over by that runaway train?

One thing is certain. The nation is being "fundamentally transformed" as we both watch and participate and redefining the words of our standards, rules and core aspects of our national identity is the most effective technique "they" use.

"Marriage", for example, is one of the latest casualties.

Nope, I like the old, original, accurately descriptive< definitions better than the new, worldly ones designed for fairness and to not hurt anyone's feelings.

Isn’t that nice? And you aren’t even old, LOL.

Over on another thread I’m getting veiled accusations that I’m a whore with a filthy mind, and an outright claim that I’m a PC feminist social justice warrior because I’m from Virginia, LOL.

It’s funny as hell. Some types on the forum seem to be devolving into hysteria.

It’s worth keeping in mind that there are two types of citizens——naturalized and natural born.

Cruz has never been naturalized. There was no need.

I’m not going to get into this argument other then to say the Rats will use this against Cruz everyday, all day, if Cruz is the nominee. Ann is doing Cruz a favor by bringing it up early. This is an issue that needs to be resolved early. I think the House looked at this an declared Cruz a NBC, if so Cruz needs to get that info out there because everyone I talk here in my little town thinks Cruz is a not NBC.

Isnt it nice ???

I was accused the other day of voting for Obama by someone who had told me Cruz couldn’t be POTUS because both of his parents were foreigners..

when I replied that No his mother was born in Delaware, and that the person had no problem voting for Romney in 2012 and his father was born in Mexico of parents who had no intention of ever living in the US again..IOW George Romney was not born “under the Jurisdiction” the other person suddenly screamed at me “You voted for Obama !!!”

Ah Noooo I didn’t ..(Where do these people learn their politics ???)

“You stayed home !!! You didn’t vote !!!

No I voted. I wrote in someone else’s name..It is dome. There is a spot to write in..

so we are still getting that we voted for Obama because we refuse to vote for the liberal Romney..

from people who dont like Cruz..and will use any excuse to try to convince Christians and Conservatives not to vote for him..

SIGH

This issue needs to be settled once and for all since there’s so much disagreement about whether both parents have to be citizens in order for their child to be a natural born citizen. Is one citizen parent enough? If a parent was not born here, but became a naturalized citizen before the child was born, is the child still a NBC? Nobody agrees.

But we can’t complain about Obama not being a NBC, and then go and nominate a non-NBC ourselves. We need to be consistent. We are supposed to be better than the Dems.

I can’t make up my mind on this question until we hear from Dr. Orly Taitz.

With a country full of true natural born citizens as strictly defined, there's no need to water down our Constitution and its definitions.

Yet this issue keeps coming up. We have had such massive immigration to this country in the last 40, 50 years, the issue is going to keep coming up. Of course, I have no doubt that it's only a matter of time before an illegal alien runs for President, and is allowed.
