Tonight was about not making mistakes for all and convincing donors to put money on you in the race for many of the others.

There are two people in the race that don’t need money and just needed not to make a major blunder, Trump and Bush.

Both succeeded. But unfortunately for them, no one else blundered either. Those other eight, though, needed to convince donors to put in some more cash. Some did, some didn’t.

My predictions:

Trump adds 5 points to his lead.

Carson adds 3 points and pulls in more financing, which he desperately needs.

Cruz adds 3 points and keeps building organization and funds. He is in a good position through Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina with this performance.

Walker adds 1 point and keeps his money people content. He needs to do better in the next debate, though.

Paul adds 1 point but loses donors. Just not a good enough job to keep the money coming in. Unless he breaks out in the next month, he will be scrambling to get on the ballot in Iowa.

Huckabee loses 2 points and sees the writing on the wall. He needed a couple of people to make a mistake tonight and give him an opening. Just didn’t happen.

Christie loses 2 points and his fundraising stops cold. Just nothing there that inspires more money to be sent his way.

Rubio loses 3 points and starts to find trouble with donors that will spill over into organizational “reshuffling” in early September. He will start sinking as he has fewer and fewer events.

Bush loses 5 points and there is a scramble behind the scenes to “reinvent” him. Can’t ride his name anymore and what they are doing isn’t working. Slides into third place behind Walker in the next month and the presumption of his nomination is scoffed at. But he has plenty of money to make it into March as it is, so his money people play it safe for a while.

Kasich loses almost all of his support and folds in the next two weeks.

Thanks. What trashy hag Megyn is, she should join the Clinton campaign.

But apparently your path to heaven comes from hating all the right people. Good luck with that...when you die alone.

You mean by having to try to answer all, and I mean all, of the poison pill questions?

I’m suprised he was still standing by the end. Guess it worked though, as it obviously worked on you.

Sheeple.

Right on, flaglady47!!

I just texted to my daughter in Florida:

Cruz
Carson
Paul
Trump

She is a young teacher, very anti-Jeb Bush. She asked about KASICH.

Her list was:

Huckabee
Kasich
Rubio

I honestly think that Carson helped himself the most. I honestly think they didn’t give air time to Cruz, and that he did a great job when he had air time. I think TRUMP was a standout because he was absolutely true to himself. I think Paul scored a knockout over Christie.

The story of the debate, though, was that the moderators were the story. They were intentionally hateful to Trump.

God gave the Republicans all these good candidates, the Democrats can’t come up with one.

That was excellent.

Trump was fine, but they’re trashing him on Fox. Roger Ailes is aiming every gun he’s got at Trump.

Not defending the guy...but as someone who runs focus groups you do not lead them anywhere. You take the gig and squeeze every comment out of everyone. HIS problem is using a very small sample and presenting it as a statistical representation.

she is just an odd looking, middle aged woman with a lucrative gig.

And a very bad nose job.

Fox is doing a real hit piece on Trump on the Kelly file. Typical, they have their marching orders to take him down.

Trump didn’t step his game up tonight.....this was a great opportunity to do so.....he will still be great at knocking the “idiots” etc. but I was disappointed he didn’t give better specifics..

Yep. Trump needs to do his homework. I’m still leaning his way but this was not his finest hour.

The GOPe and Dems will slice and dice his ad libs. He needs to be able to return fire with substance.

Watching the Kelly file now why does Krauthammer look like a muppet? He has to take a huge breath every half sentence. There’s like an arm up his butt controlling his head.

Totally agree, Jeb looked like a vindictive child.

JEB is a vindictive child. George Herbert Walker Bush's vindictive child.
