Confirmed:Malaysia PM Confirms Piece of Airplane Wing is from MH370

Malaysia's prime minister has confirmed that the piece of an airplane wing found on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean last week is in fact from the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.

"Today, 515 days since the plane disappeared, it is with a heavy heart that I must tell you that an international team of experts have conclusively confirmed that the aircraft debris found on Reunion Island is indeed from MH370," Najib Razak wrote on his Facebook page. "We now have physical evidence that, as I announced on 24th March last year, flight MH370 tragically ended in the southern Indian Ocean."

The families of those on board the fateful flight were called and told to tune in to the Paris press conference, which will be held in minutes, where they will hear it for themselves.

"The burden and uncertainty faced by the families during this time has been unspeakable," Razak said. It is my hope that this confirmation, however tragic and painful, will at least bring certainty to the families and loved ones of the 239 people onboard MH370. They have our deepest sympathy and prayers.

The high use of composites makes the flaperon a naturally buoyant surface. Flotation is further enhanced because its structure is hollow from the inside. The hollow encasing contains mostly pockets of air. In older aircraft, the entire structure was made of aluminum and metal alloys, but over the years, composite materials started to replace metal alloys in flight control devices of aircraft. Use of carbon-composite materials helps increase the life of the component and improves resistance to weather and external pressures on the surface.

Not according to my prevailing seasonal current charts.

Also, the plane was seen crossing the Maldives; no one thinks it crashed there. I don’t want go go into details, but the chance of debris from the search area west of Australia winding up on Reunion is not one a betting man would take up unless at very long odds.

Barnacles could have gotten all over it in the South China Sea as easily as near Reunion Island. That proves very little, and proves nothing that would preclude its being planted.

People coming up with ignorant counter-evidence only tends to raise suspicions.

If that's being cynical, I'm still free to be that, last time I read the Constitution.

>>>you are correct, I presume<<<

You presume? Did you think she was just making it up?

I know, it’s just me. LOL

That’s retarded—you obviously don’t understand aircraft construction. This is a lightweight, watertight hollow section. It floats.

I learned a long time ago that sometimes it's just not worth trying to convince someone with facts. It's a waste of time.

Occam's Razor. Period.

Occam’s Razor dictates that this flaperon ripped off the aircraft and floated around until it washed up on Réunion.

I don’t think you understand Occam’s Razor any better than you understand aircraft.

Gotcha. Hare brained conspiracy theories with exactly zero evidence to support them are much more favored.

The barnacles, btw, are not counter evidence to anything. It is simply a statement of fact that there are barnacles on the flaperon.

And you’ll have to forgive me, but this is an anonymous forum. That your suspicions are raised (about what I have no idea) is completely inconsequential.

It's a shame so many people live under the delusion that their simply saying something is so has somehow proved the case.
