Republican presidential candidate and former Texas Governor Rick Perry stated that there are more ways to get things done other than a government shutdown during a discussion of Planned Parenthood on Tuesdays Cavuto: Coast to Coast on the Fox Business Network.
Weve expanded the healthcare for women in the state of Texas through multiple ways. One of which is weve passed the most sweeping tort reform in the nation in 2003 that exploded access to healthcare. If you were a pregnant female along the Rio Grande, you had to leave your county to get that prenatal care, no longer is that the case. We did stop funding for Planned Parenthood. And actually, I, after seeing those videos, I think people, whether theyre pro choice or not, should be offended greatly to what theyre seeing out of those videos. As a matter of fact, I called for the nonprofit status of Planned Parenthood to be pulled.
Perry responded to attacks by Democrats that GOP opposition to Planned Parenthood is just an attack on women with, its just not true. Its how they try to deflect off of these videos are not defensible. When you look and see what Planned Parenthood has been up to for all of these many years, its one of the reasons that we pulled the funding of Planned Parenthood in the state of Texas, we realized what was going on some years ago. We are for expanding healthcare for women, as I said, we did that in the state of Texas. It can happen in those states, but its not the federal governments responsibility to be funding that type of activity at all.

So genius, what do your glasses think should be done?
“We are for expanding healthcare for women, as I said...”
The hell does that even mean?
That is the kind of thinking that got Perry in the Fox Kiddie debate,
not the main event.
non-principled is not the way to go through life
“We are for expanding healthcare for women, as I said...”
Maybe Perry’s wife is pregnant....
Every damn politician these days needs a translator it seems.
RINO’s and Dems alike....
LOL!
Best post of the day!
Since 1973, we have never been closer to slamming the door on the murder of children. I think we should consider doing anything possible that might advance that end.
Yeah, he may have a point.
Maybe we should just talk softer, try a little more tolerance, fund some more Diversity Training, and pay homage to the effort against The War On Women?
... or maybe we ought to just treat them like the soulless Nazis they are and wipe down the floor with their political guts...?
I have no clue what Perry said.
That’s what I call a low blow.
:)
Perry keeps saying one dumb thing after the next.
Does he really think that will help him move up in the polls?
Who is advising this clown?
