Law enforcement and the FBI are investigating three unknown devices found at the Four Corners Power Plant Monday morning.
According to investigators, the devices were each 6 inches in length and capped on both ends. They were found around 8 a.m.
Farmington police's bomb squad is attempting to determine whether the devices are explosive. All employees have been evacuated.
The Four Corners Power Plant is located in Fruitland about 25 miles southwest of Farmington
A lawsuit filed in 2011 has led to an agreement designed to reduce pollution impacting national parks throughout the Southwest. Additionally, the settlement reached with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the owners of the Four Corners Power Plant in New Mexico calls for $8.2 million in penalties and other mitigation costs.
