If the cops can’t control the thugs, then it’s the National Guard that should be sent in and not the feds. Set strict curfews and shoot to kill for lawbreakers. That would put a severe crimp in the thugs’ criminal activities.

Those federal agencies are not trained in police work. The FBI agents are great investigators but know nothing of 24/7 policing. They are good at making arrests, but their way of doing business is planning ahead. Police have to make arrests on the spot, no time for planning ahead. Some of the decisions a municipal police officer have only seconds to make, the Supreme Court may split 5-4 in ruling the correctness of it. The police will be teaching the feds about street law enforcement. IMO
