Panic in Damascus?
Al-Jazeera ^ | August 3, 2015 | Mouin Rabbani

The view that 2015 has not been a particularly good year for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has much to recommend it.

Within Syria, the government has lost control over most of the province of Idlib, and was recently dislodged from Palmyra by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

The key cities of Aleppo in the north and Deraa in the south remain under threat; increased coordination among Syria's notoriously fractious armed rebel groups is an important factor in this regard, as is improved relations among their sponsors.

If Assad falls, the question will be WHO gets control of his WMD’s (chem and bio) and missiles. If ISIS, ISIL or Hezbollah get access to them, they will not hesitate in firing them onto Tel Aviv or Hafia, the major Israeli cities north of Jerusalem. Israel will retalitate immediately with nukes directed at Damascus. This battle would be very short lived and last less than a day. The causualties if death, injuried and sick from WMD’s will be very high on both sides. I think that this is the next conflict in the ME and could happen any time now. IMO, there will be little or no warning.

The dictator will be out on his assad -- eventually. Erdogan's burning down Turkey with lots of help from Russia, Iran, and Obama. He won't put a man across the Syrian border, but is happy to let ISIS do the fighting against the Kurds, just as Assad is happy to let ISIS do the fighting against the other rebel groups. We'll know that Assad is done when he pops up in exile with no warning. I suspect he'll wind up in Iran, at the head of a fake gubmint-in-exile.

President Barack Obama has authorized the use of air power to defend a new U.S.-backed fighting force in Syria should it come under attack from Syrian government forces or other groups, officials said, in a move that could increase the risk of the U.S. coming into direct conflict with the Assad regime.

Obola has backed the greater (or greatest) evil each time he's interfered in Middle Eastern countries’ internal difficulties.A cynical person could even suspect that he does it on purpose.

I wonder if their ROE will be any different than currently. Will most of the missions return without dropping munitions? I doubt it. Obama is a Muslim, and he’s choosing sides.

We know the answer.

I never thought I would have such hate for anyone like I do him.
