and we begin to wonder if there is a serious flaw in our three-branch system.

Nope. No flaw in the system. The Republican Senate didn't have to confirm her, and it shouldn't have. GOPe invertebrates are the flaw, not the "system."

"The Justice Department originally brought the case against four armed men who witnesses say derided voters with catcalls of "white devil" and "cracker" and told voters they should prepare to be "ruled by the black man." ..."

One poll watcher called police after he reportedly saw one of the men brandishing a nightstick to threaten voters.

As I walked up, they closed ranks, next to each other,” the witness told Fox News at the time. “So I walked directly in between them, went inside and found the poll watchers. They said they’d been here for about an hour. And they told us not to come outside because a black man is going to win this election no matter what.”

He said the man with a nightstick told him, “’We’re tired of white supremacy,’ and he starts tapping the nightstick in his hand. At which point I said, ‘OK, we’re not going to get in a fistfight right here,’ and I called the police.”...”

Eric Holder, not the EH who went to work for JPMORGAN as a security consultant for a million 300K A WEEK?

The one who refused to prosecute banks who bundled fraudulent loans and sold them to the unsuspecting public?

Yeah, that’s him.

"wonder if there is a serious flaw in our three-branch system"

There's no wonder about it, the AG is a politician beholden to the politicians that pit them in office.

That's the flaw, it was never about the law.

There are no checks and balances functioning in the Judicial Branch, in which the Attorney General’s post resides,...

Is that correct? I thought the DoJ was part of the Executive Branch.

No, the flaw is with the gutless GOP. If this gets worse in 2016, Øbama's last year, I think it may be time for the military to step in.

...we begin to wonder if there is a serious flaw in our three-branch system...

Three branches? Two parties?

Uni-party. Uni-branch.

Apparently, a few things were left out in my JrHi & HS Civics classes. And I don't remember any mention of this when I tested for my Citizenship Merit Badges. Maybe I just missed those classes...

How far we've fallen...
