You have totally misinterpreted what I wrote, but I’m frankly not interested in the discussion. Whatever.

Here's a Huffington Post piece about the documentary by its original writer, and here's the press release announcing the online debut-it appears that the film covers some allegations... Trump grew wealthy during the 80's, the start of the "me generation" of moneymakers, and the "decade of greed". In it, he was revealed to be "the opposite of a small-government conservative" and someone who'd made money "on the backs of taxpayers".
HuffPo hit piece / partisan media shills / oldschool leftwing buzzwords ping.

Capitalism was not despised by Jesus, nor in the Old Testament.

Seeking riches for riches sake was despised by Jesus and the OT writers.

BTW, I never said that Trump was wicked, nor do I say that he seeks riches for riches sake.

But Jesus laid out one tenet of among many that he talked about when dealing with money: he said that a widow must not have her house foreclosed on.

He called those that did this “devourers of widows houses.” Bankers today have no problem doing this, yet the business class calls this “good business” nonetheless.

So, true capitalism must have mercy and morality interwoven throughout all of it.

Even Adam Smith realized this as he detailed in his two part companion set: “The Wealth of Nations” which laid the groundwork for Free Market principles and in his second work “The Theory of Moral Sentiments” which said that capitalism must have morality affixed to it or we will have a world of houses full of Tiny Tims.

Whaaat? I hope the clowns who say Trump got all his money from his dad come on here and denounce this.

He "made money "on the backs of taxpayers"
OR
He got his money from his dad?

Someone (you know who you are) said in a post he got $300 million ($1.5 billion today) from his daddy

Which one is the lie?

She will say that it came out “months ago” and will use her words that she has used time and time again: “This is old news.”

And she can say that if Trump’s stuff is old news, then stuff about her is old news, too.

But, on the other side, if Trump runs on his business acumen, then it will be hard for him to say (if, if he does try to say this) that his past business dealing should not be open and fair game for discussion today.

I mean, if he has created jobs for years, should all the years he has been in business be open for discussion? Or do we only hold the other side accountable and make hypocrites of ourselves in the process?

So the articles from Hot Air, The New York Post, Washington Examiner and so on going after Trump were hit pieces, too?

Or are only liberals capable of “hit pieces” acccording to your Red herring and diversionary tactic?

Toward the end of the 80s, Trump and his businesses went through turbulent times. He was upside down for a while there, so no matter what he got from his dad, what he has today he achieved through shrewd business acumen.

Some would say that he also tapped bankruptcy laws to get a boost. A lot of successful businesses got a second chance through bankruptcy. It’s a legal tactic, and one I question any businessman truly relishing to use.

I loved the 80s. I fell for Reagan and the infamous decade of greed. I came of age along with Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham and Jonah (Traitor) Goldberg. I went to the inaugural party in NYC in 1984 and had a blast. I have a better personal life since then but nothing to match my great political life!

I think the largest Huggies I’ve seen said “12 to 25 pounds”. That’s quite a bit of a load.

Leonard Stern is an a$$hole, 1st class. Chairman of the Hartz Mountain Group — yes the pet company, but also enormous real estate holdings, mostly in NJ but also in NYC. (NYU’s Stern School of Business named after him). He inherited much more money than Trump and had made less than Trump, but has been a constant rival. This is all about Trump outsmarting Stern on some HUGE real estate deals. SOUR GRAPES.

I have always followed and defended the Levin Doctrine, Vote your Candidate in the Primary and Vote your Party’s Candidate in the General.

That hasn’t endeared me to some FReepers with their “Romneybot” attacks since I supported him over The Dear Leader in the General. Newt was my guy in the Primary and he dropped like a rock and that was that.

Cruz will be get my Vote if he is still in the Race by the time the CA Primary Election happens.

If The Jebster gets the nod this time out, I would have to be on Morphine to Vote for him.

The GOP had better buy themselves a Clue. If they stab Trump in the Back, I would pull the Lever for him as a Third Party Candidate without batting an Eye.

The Jebster would lose badly to Bernie Sanders, never mind The Hildebeast. He is that bad of a Candidate.

All was right with the world under Reagan. It was the most peaceful time of my life.

Ann and Jonah have seemed to just fall off the turnip truck.

Sad to see, but yikes.

I’ve attended a number of political events and understand the flavor of them, but can’t say as I have attended something akin that the 1980 triumph celebrations.

Must have been wonderful.

It was amazing! Of course, it wasn’t Washington so it was a little less impressive but - still! I remember the next day at work someone said...”Did I see you on tv last night?” A liberal firm, I said: “Are you kidding?”

No wonder Mr. Trump wanted this hit piece banned from release!

Thank you for the facts.

Trump lost some of his finest people in a helicopter crash. Everyone in NYC remembers that personal disaster for him.

The large well known company I work for is expanding locally rather than out of state thanks to some state tax breaks. Overall this is a plus for the state and we employees. Our distribution center is out of state thanks to favorable tax advantages.

Ohio and NY have both advertised tax advantages for locating there. This is just the way it’s done. The states wouldn’t offer if it didn’t benefit them in the long run.
