10:45 p.m. UPDATE:
FOX13 has confirmed with multiple sources that the officer who was shot during a traffic stop has died. MPD Director Toney Armstrong will be holding a press conference at Regional One soon.
UPDATE:
According to MPD PIO Karen Rudolph, a call came in at approximately 9:18 p.m.
Here is what we know so far: -Communications was advised that additional officers were needed in the area of Cottonwood and Perkins. -Officer was conducting a traffic stop when he was shot by an occupant of the vehicle

I watched the press conference 90 minutes or so ago and the (black) Police Director mentioned #alllivesmatter. I’m betting he will be harangued.

Car Jacker suspect described by scanerr as “a 6-ft black male with dreads” and is armed.
Yes, he basically said it’s popular to say “black lives matter” right now, but he thinks “all lives matter”.
Same thing Governor Martin O’Malley said just before he got booed off the stage.
But then O’Malley is white, so naturally that’s more offensive.
Kudos to the MPD Director for saying it. But there are those who will probably accuse him of putting blue over black, and not being “down for the struggle”.

I understand why you are saying this, but this needs to go through the court system when this guy it caught.
