I watched the press conference 90 minutes or so ago and the (black) Police Director mentioned #alllivesmatter. I’m betting he will be harangued.

Yes, he basically said it’s popular to say “black lives matter” right now, but he thinks “all lives matter”.

Same thing Governor Martin O’Malley said just before he got booed off the stage.

But then O’Malley is white, so naturally that’s more offensive.

Kudos to the MPD Director for saying it. But there are those who will probably accuse him of putting blue over black, and not being “down for the struggle”.

"There's a theme that black lives matter, and at the end of the day, we have to ask ourselves, do all lives matter, regardless of race, creed, color, economic status, what profession a person holds? All lives matter. And this is just a reminder of just of dangerous this job is," Armstrong said.
