How can one body of water connected to the Atlantic rise faster than other? Shouldnt we be seeing this in all bays/inlets, etc along the eastern coast.
Sounds like a problem more money is needed to fix!

Right now is the time to start making preparations...Six extra inches of water really matters in this part of the world. Good luck with that. Social Security and the nation's budget at large are already well under water and nobody in Washington gives a you-know-what.

Global warming? Didn’t they get the memo?
And how is melting ice in Antarctica or Greenland (if you accept the premise) completely localized in Chesapeake Bay???
To: VinL
that headline is the best news possible out of WashDC
To: VinL
“The sea level in the Chesapeake is rising at twice the global average and faster than anywhere else on the East Coast,”
Bull shot! Sea level is not rising! DC is sinking! Big difference! They’re playing with words!

The sea level in the Chesapeake is rising at twice the global average and faster than anywhere else on the East Coast. We all know that Washington politicians defy the laws of man.
But now does their city defy the laws of nature?
When did water stop seeking its own level?
If the sea level in the Chesapeake is higher than the sea level in the Atlantic what prevents the sea levels from equalizing?
Not a thing.
