Between social media posts excoriating those he feels have a romanticized view of the lion recently killed in Africa by an American hunter, outspoken musician Ted Nugent this week weighed in again on the 2016 presidential primary.
At this point, he told radio host Rita Cosby, he has a clear early favorite.
"I think Donald Trump,” he said, “if he stays on course, he’s gonna be the next president of the United States.”
He offered many of the same attributes other Trump supporters mentioned when asked why he supports the brash billionaire.
Nugent said he appreciates the candidate’s “bold, brazen, courageous, unapologetic politics,” praising his campaign as “just what the working-hard, playing-hard American families have been waiting for.”
Beyond his ability to win, the veteran rock star said Trump would represent a welcome change to the White House.
“He would kick a– and take names,” Nugent concluded, “and that’s what America needs right now.”
The interview was not Nugent’s first public expression of support for the real estate tycoon’s presidential bid. In a WND editorial earlier this month, he opined that Trump deserves the Medal of Freedom “for speaking his mind in such a bold, honest and straightforward manner.”
After criticizing establishment Republicans who dismiss the popularity of an outsider who entered the race as an outspoken reformer, Nugent explained why critics of Trump’s immigration rhetoric are wrong.
“And for the record,” he wrote, “I dare anybody to show me one word from trump that isn’t accurate. What sort of denial gagged liar denies that our country is being invaded by drugrunners, murderers and rapists? What sort of denial gagged liar could possibly believe Trump meant legal immigrants?"

The Trump Cabinet starting with Tray Gowdy could be made up others running for POTUS, most are really good Americans and smart men and smart woman....or should another of the 18 running, Trump would be a fine addition almost anywhere in the new cabinet.
Trump is perhaps the first American ever to run for POTUS who doesn't have to answer to anyone but himself and his God....Ummmmmmm, how sweet it is to hear the death throes of Political Correctness!! .....you saw part of the latter with Martin O'Malley................
