The White House on Friday threatened a veto on any bill that defunds Planned Parenthood.
A budget measure that strips funding from the organization “is certainly something that would draw a presidential veto,” press secretary Josh Earnest said.
“We have routinely opposed the inclusion of ideologically driven riders” in budget bills, Earnest added.
It is the first time the White House issued a veto threat against Republican efforts to defund Planned Parenthood since an anti-abortion group began releasing secretly recorded videos.
Senate Republicans have taken aim at the women’s health group in recent weeks on the heels of videos that the Center for Medical Progress claims show Planned Parenthood officials trying to sell parts of aborted fetuses, which would be illegal.
Liberals and abortions rights advocates insist that the videos are selectively edited to smear Planned Parenthood, which has been targeted repeatedly by political attacks in recent years.
As soon as Monday, Senate Republicans are planning to bring to the floor legislation to defund Planned Parenthood. It is expected to fail under opposition from Democrats.
The White House spokesman questioned the authenticity of the recordings and pointed to criticism they have received from media organizations.
“I haven’t seen the videos, but those who have taken a close look at them have raised some significant concerns about their authenticity and whether or not they actually convey the view of those particular officials or even the broader institution,” Earnest said.
On Thursday, Earnest said the “fraudulent way” the videos were released means there is “not a lot of evidence” that Planned Parenthood violated any laws.
Earnest said he was not sure whether President Obama had seen the videos but that the president “is aware of the news that those videos have generated.”

Republicans in the Congress are beginning to use the word “try.” They will try to defund Planned Parenthood. But the President has a veto and they do not have the votes to override the veto.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has moved from try to “can’t.” He says Republicans cannot defund Planned Parenthood because of the President’s veto.
This is really, really simple.If Republicans do not defund Planned Parenthood, they will see a great portion of their base vanish overnight. That is not an exaggeration.
Planned Parenthood, we now know, is killing living children who have already been born, cutting them up, and harvesting their organs.
If Abraham Lincoln’s Party cannot go to war against that where war is not bullets, just a government shut down until the President relents, then Abraham Lincoln’s Party needs to be put on the ash heap of history. It really is that simple.
Either defund Planned Parenthood or do not defund Planned Parenthood. The future of the Republican Party is at stake. The Democrats know this better than the GOP. So President Obama will block it. The Republicans must not try, but must hold steady until he yields.

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument
The states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to tax and spend for anything like Planned Parenthood. This is evidence by a previous generation of state sovereignty-respecting justices who had clarified that that Congress is prohibited from laying taxes in the name of state power issues, essentially any issue which Congress cannot justify under its constitutional, Article I, Section 8-limited powers.

But since low-information patriots have failed, even after three election cycles, to elect a constitutionally required 2/3 majority in both Houses of Congress to override presidential vetoes (1.7.2), Obama can get away with vetoing the bill to defund Planned Parenthood.
Also also note that such funding is available in the first place because the corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Senate did not do its job to protect the states, as the Founding States had established it to do, by killing the unconstitutional House appropriations bills that provided funding for vote-winning but unconstitutional Planned Parenthood.

The legality is not really the main issue here. Regardless whether there is a law in place (apparently there are no actual laws against selling baby parts), there is still right and wrong. The actors are morally reprehensible. There used to be a notion in this country of what is wrong. It's sick.

Are there actual laws against flying planes into buildings?
If Congress fails to defund Planned Parenthood for killing aborted babies and selling their body parts, there’s no reason Planned Parenthood wouldn’t feel emboldened to take the next step and begin killing actual babies, and on and on.
They would have nothing to fear from Congress.
Where will this end? Someone should ask Obama: ‘’Is there any heinous, bloody atrocity that Planned Parenthood could commit that would cause you to withhold funds from it?’’
This is, I think, agenda 21 undercover. Less humans and more predators are the hot topic for liberals this week.
