GOP INSIDERS: TRUMP WILL BE OUT BEFORE IOWA
Breitbart Big Government ^ | July 31, 2015 | by MIKE FLYNN

Posted on 07/31/2015 2:53:34 PM PDT by Hojczyk

A new National Journal survey of “Republican insiders” finds that 57 percent of these political professionals think Donald Trump will bow out of the Presidential race before the Iowa Caucuses. This survey probably says more about the state of the Republican political class than anything about the 2016 race or Republican voters.

Interestingly, 65 percent of “Democrat insiders” believe Trump will compete in the Iowa Caucuses in February next year.

The survey results could easily be dismissed as both groups answering what they hope will happen. Some Republican campaign professionals offered comments beyond the question:

“No meteor or political candidate burns that brightly and survives very long.”

“Unscripted, he will crash and burn by Thanksgiving.”

“Flavor of the month.”

“Campaign will probably die of a self-inflicted wound.”

The easiest political prediction to make is that the Trump campaign will implode after some impolitic remark. To date, though, that hasn’t been the case, despite a full-throttled assault by the media and DC’s political class.

Trump currently leads all national polling in the race. His lead has apparently increased even after he made off-the-cuff remarks criticizing Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)43% ’s war record. That he has gained support after those remarks should be a sobering wake-up call to the political class.

Peggy Noonan, the Republican establishment’s Greek chorus, has woken up to the realization that the Trump phenomenon — and it is exactly that — is real. She understands something the political class doesn’t:

His rise is not due to his supporters’ anger at government. It is a gesture of contempt for government, for the men and women in Congress, the White House, the agencies.

“It wouldn’t surprise me to see him out by then.”

Today, Hannity said the he didn’t think that “Trump will go quickly”. The implication of that is he will go. Do certain people have access to Trump’s mind that even he does not himself? On what evidence could anyone base the belief, other than reading tea leaves or the entrails of slaughtered animals, like they use to do, that he will not last?

[Donald Trump's] rise is not due to his supporters’ anger at government. It is a gesture of contempt for government, for the men and women in Congress, the White House, the agencies.

This quote of Peggy Noonan's actually rings true. I do feel contempt for them all.

I think Trump's rise is due to BOTH anger and contempt; they go hand-in-hand.

Sure, because frontrunners quit and support the guy in 5th place all the time.

If people wanted Cruz he would be ahead.

It’s not that Trump burns brightly per se, rather he seems intense against the thin weak light generated by the pussified GOP.

"I will vote for Hillary before I vote for Jeb. See, I can double-down as well."

First, the GOP must die.

Everything else comes after that.

The only scenario I can see ...is Obama declares martial law....attempts to confiscate guns....and Trump goes down in a fire fight.

I agree. Four years of Hillary and a chance of someone better in four years is better than four years of Bush and a chance of someone worse in four years.

I was at a "Weird Al" Yankovic concert last night and while we were in line waiting to go in, people around us were talking about Trump. They definitely weren't your white-bread GOP types either. They were heavily tattooed and seemed Hispanic/Latino. Big "Weird Al" fans but certainly Trump fans as well. My wife and I smiled as they talked about how enthused they were that somebody "not a regular politician" was in this race and that he was going to "shake things up."

In other words, they were speaking about a Trump presidency in terms of an eventuality and not a possibility. I think Trump is going to draw support from all sorts of corners. People are just fed up with politicians and career bureaucrats in general. Trump is a breath of fresh air and I think he is going to be inoculated against the kind of "gaffes" that would sink other candidates.

It’s ¡Yeb! and Rubberio and La Raza Rick and NJFatBoy and Huckster and Grahamnesty and Pataki and Kasich and Gilmore who should drop out.

At a minimum the candidates for President should be in favor of the rule of law.

The aforementioned are for changing the laws to benefit those foreign nationals breaking them.

Disqualified......

What good is it to be a ‘’Republican Insider’’ if you have no idea what’s going on and missed the whole Donald-Trump-takes-over-the-Republican-party phenomenon till now when the Republican party has already been taken over?

Since Donald Trump is at 30% in the polls and his 15 competitors for the Republican nomination are averaging 4% each with no one even close to him, who among the also-rans can rise to defeat him?

By the time the Iowa caucuses roll around, Donald Trump is likely to have sewn up the nomination. The more interesting contest even now is Clinton vs. Sanders, since Sanders has a good chance of winning the New Hampshire primary.

Of course, the media would be a big loser if Donald Trump eliminates his fifteen liliputian opponents before they can spend their collective campaign billions buying advertising on the networks.

If things continue on as they’re going, we might see not only the demise of the Democratic party, but also the bankruptcy of a few big liberal media outlets in 2016.

Insiders. What are they good for? Absolutely nothing.

Good for nothing for us, but they are quite valuable to The Cheap Labor Express.
Their job is to get us to vote for amnesty and assorted other Democrat in R jersey policies.
It’s a tough job, it’s hard to sell cancer.

In either case, Trump will not follow the GOP insiders’ script.

My prediction, if Trump is still in after NH he is going all they way to the Whitehouse. Trump may self-destruct, but it will not happen because of the GOP or the media.

Going out on a short limb, I will predict that at least three of the current field of 17 candidates will drop out before Iowa.
