He may be be taking some points from Cruz, But he is taking a lot from Bush and Rubio. Trump is taking points from everyone, including Hillary.

"I think Cruz would be the best candidate to "save" our Republic."
There's not many conservatives that would disagree with, some sure, but not many.
However it doesn't mean squat if he does starting picking up voters.
4% and below is a road to nowhere.

It may well sink him; it’s a long race. I’d envisioned Trump folding late in the campaign with his support putting Cruz over the top.
What we’re seeing now is that what should have been Cruz’s breakout (calling the Senate ML a liar, Obama treasonous, blocking the Im-Ex bank funding) has had the effect of sinking him in the polling.
The Tea Party’s only hope may rest with Trump.
This will be the most interesting race in decades.

Trump may be in lead but Jebbie plans on getting rough during the debates.

Cruz is not being punished. Hes Trumps MiniMe and he will surface again after Trump gets the nomination. He will be a perfect Trump clone as VP. Plus he can talk sense to Trump and the Legislative Branch and all of its monkeys.Good points. My first choice is Cruz, However, if it was Trump/Cruz that would not be bad.
I think Donald would defer much to Cruz (Trump is a great at delegating.) That would allow Cruz to move things towards a truly Conservative track.

Cruz and Trump had a private meeting a few weeks ago. Neither would say what was discussed.
You have to watch what they are saying in public about the issues, and their responses to media questions about each other. The media has managed to get most of the other candidates to trash both Trump and Cruz. The media has tried to get Trump and Cruz to criticize each other -- so far, no success.

I was thinking Op Chaos strategy where the party faithful make a big push to turn out the vote for the nominee most likely to lose to Hillary.

I know.
I just don't think very large numbers of Democrats are politically sophisticated enough to discern between Bush and Trump; Dumbocraps tend to think D or R, that's it. Plus, switching to Republican keeps them from making down-ticket choices in the Dem primary.

Try doing some research on your own or find the many articles that have been posted here.
When he first announced I thought there was no way I could support him. Then I read a couple of his books.
Cruz is still my favorite but I would have no problem voting for Trump.

If I read the Florida SoS site properly, the March election is only for POTUS primary and the down ticket primaries are in August.
Oops, my bad.

With most of the other candidates (except Fiorina and Dr. Carson) we have their track records in public office as a measurement of what they would do in higher office.
My favorite candidates are:
Scott Walker
Ted Cruz
Bobby Jindal
Rick Perry
All have track records you can measure.
And yes, for the top tiered candidates, I expect detailed policies from all of them. I don’t care if I see a detailed policy position from Pataki or Gilmore.
To: Amntn
OK then. What is his position on taxes?
Does he support the Fair Tax?
To: Maris Crane
It has nothing to do with Ted and everything to do with Don. Cruz supporters are going over to Trump. My answer to that (as someone who's donated five times to Ted Cruz) is:
Trump/Cruz 2016

I think you are looking for someone to argue with and I am not interested.
If you really want to know you can find your answers with a little research.
