Air safety investigators have a "high degree of confidence" that aircraft debris found in the Indian Ocean is of a wing component unique to the Boeing 777, the same model as the Malaysia Airlines plane that disappeared last year, a U.S. official said Wednesday.

Given that there are no other missing 777s, if the piece is confirmed to be from such an aircraft, it would almost certainly have to belong to Flight 370, which vanished on March 8, 2014, with 239 people on board while traveling from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

Flapper on is from the right wing. One closest to island if in flight

Unless of course the aircraft was inverted as was the case when Maverick took the close up pic of the Russian Mig.

Could this 777 tail flap have been PLANTED to distract from the plane’s real location in Kazakhstan?

Occam’s Razor. The pilot ditched the plane in the Indian Ocean and the currents eventually brought this bit of debris to Reunion.

So is there something I’m missing? Are there a bunch of missing planes out there that this part could be from? Isn’t it pretty much certain it’s from the Malaysian flight?

Only on Boeing 777 is missing and the parts have been identified as only be able to have come from a 777

777s don’t have flaperons.

Maybe a spoileron?
