Top Feminist Issues Stunning Rebuke For Media’s ‘Total Silence’ On Planned Parenthood

A major feminist author and former Planned Parenthood member shredded the U.S. media Wednesday for its “shockingly unprofessional” failure to cover the release of secret videos showing alleged trafficking in fetal organs by employees of Planned Parenthood.

Camille Paglia, a self-described “dissident feminist” and widely-syndicated cultural critic, made her remarks as part of a three-day interview series with the website Salon. She was discussing her overall displeasure with the modern state of the American media, and said the case of Planned Parenthood was a key recent example of its decline:

“Sin isn’t a disease!”

It is the worst kind of disease:

Jas 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

I totally disagree with you. I bear no guilt or responsibility for the sin of abortion.

Okay, but it is not my sin. I have no control over what the left has done and neither do you. It is their sin.

With abortion, there is no middle ground, as it is an end-of-life decision made by the mother, or someone who has forced her to sign for the killing, and the repercussions from same affect the whole world. Mother Teresa said it much better:

"We must not be surprised when we hear of murders, of killings, of wars, of hatred. If a mother can kill her own child, what is left but for us to kill each other." ~ Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta ~

I totally disagree with you. I am not responsible for the sin of abortion. You are free to go forth into these democrat strongholds & low income communities just like Mother Teresa and preach against the sin of abortion to the people who are committing the sin.

The Planned Parenthood videos we’ve witnessed over the past few weeks is a direct result of a nation that has become indifferent to abortion. When we lose the ability to feel outrage and can deem the taking of the life of the unborn as a mere choice, we get what we’ve gotten over the past few weeks.

The question is what is next? The follow-up is when will people be sufficiently outraged? Is it really such a great leap to think that one day we might be asking terminal patients to “do the right thing” and let us turn everything off so we can harvest your organs? Is it really such a great leap to think that one day desperate people will be going into the organ donation business and getting themselves impregnated so that they can cash in on this little enterprise that Planned Parenthood has going for itself? Why one might even be able to declare themselves a business, be eligible for all kinds of tax breaks/write-offs in so doing.

If I’m a poor, desperate woman with few opportunities available and I’m looking at the news right now, why wouldn’t I consider contacting Stem Express right now and see if I can’t cut out the middle man? I’m sure those folks will make me feel real good about “serving humanity” in this way!

Click on the link and take a look at just how happy these folks are busy at work:

"Liberals think of themselves as very open-minded, but that’s simply not true! Liberalism has sadly become a knee-jerk ideology, with people barricaded in their comfortable little cells. They think that their views are the only rational ones, and everyone else is not only evil but financed by the Koch brothers. It’s so simplistic!"

She has liberals pegged.

Women from wealthy and middle-incomed families get abortions too. That's why there's a Planned Parenthood within eyesight from the University of Illinois campus. Made me sick when I saw it; college girls from well-to-do-enough families walking off [they didn't even need transportation] to end not just the lives of their children, but in many ways, their own lives as well.

I'm not sure how many PPs there are by colleges; haven't really checked into it, but I bet there are more than a few.

Sanger suggested they open up clinics in the inner city so as to be easily accessible to the poor [black] community.

In today’s climate these clinics can be found anywhere those who suffer from a poverty of the soul exist.

I am not a racist. I don’t care who gets an abortion. Those that do and those that perform them are the sinners. Along with those who support their right to do so. The Marxists in the government are working hard to keep their abortion. Like I said it is not my sin.

My apologies! By your words, I thought you WERE supporting "their right to do so."

I don’t know how much of this woman’s beliefs I could stomach, but the part we were linked to here, I found rather compelling.

I've read a lot of her stuff. She's one of the few lefties I think I would enjoy having a few beers with.

What she says about Trump:

So what I’m saying is that the authentic 1960s were about street theater–chaos, spontaneity, caustic humor. And Trump actually has it! He does better comedy than most professional comedians right now, because we’re in this terrible period where the comedians do their tours with canned jokes. They go from place to place, saying the same list of jokes in the same way. But the old vaudevillians had 5,000 jokes stored in their heads. They went out there and responded to that particular audience on that particular night. They had to read the crowd and try out what worked or didn’t work.

Our politicians, like our comedians, have been boring us with their canned formulas for way too long. So that’s why Donald Trump has suddenly leapt in the polls. He’s a great stand-up comedian. He’s anti-PC–he’s not afraid to say things that are rude and mean. I think he’s doing a great service for comedy as well as for politics!

I don’t support abortion. But I also think it is an issue (battle) that was lost a long time ago. The Marxists won’t give up their abortion.

The Marxists won’t give it up, it is true, but it can be fought through a higher source:

Your grave concern over the cost of raising those aborted babies, whose lives you seem to consider “unworthy of living”, has precedent. There was a big organization in Germany in the 1930s, with allies even here in these United States, which shared your concern. I can’t tell how the cost compares to 60,000 Reichmarks, but as the poster says “Folks, that’s your money!”

From my reading, and I’ve not made an in-depth study of the matter, but several of the women held up as “Founding Mothers” of early US feminism (e.g., Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony) were against abortion and actually somewhat pro-family.
