Top Feminist Issues Stunning Rebuke For Media’s ‘Total Silence’ On Planned Parenthood
dailycaller.com ^ | 07/29/2015 | Blake Neff

A major feminist author and former Planned Parenthood member shredded the U.S. media Wednesday for its “shockingly unprofessional” failure to cover the release of secret videos showing alleged trafficking in fetal organs by employees of Planned Parenthood.

Camille Paglia, a self-described “dissident feminist” and widely-syndicated cultural critic, made her remarks as part of a three-day interview series with the website Salon. She was discussing her overall displeasure with the modern state of the American media, and said the case of Planned Parenthood was a key recent example of its decline:

Yes, you read it correctly.

While I personally disagree with Paglia on many issues, I respect her for the rarity she is- an honest liberal.

Camilla may be a lefty feminist lesbian, but she is a straight shooter...

She calls them as she sees them...

One of the few honest liberals...

Sound principles should cross over political boundaries.

I don’t know how much of this woman’s beliefs I could stomach, but the part we were linked to here, I found rather compelling.

Something is taking place in this nation. It appears for all the world like an awakening.

Trump goes hard right. This woman at least in part has gone sane vs what she use to exhibit.

I appreciate her comments. Dare I say it, there is some hope for us yet.

I enjoy Paglia a lot. She is a joy to me to listen to even though I do have to hang on tightly! Thanks for posting.

Regarding Jon Stewart:

I cannot stand that smug, snarky, superior tone. I hated the fact that young people were getting their news through that filter of sophomoric snark. … I’m sorry, but Jon Stewart is not a major figure. He’s certainly a highly successful T.V. personality, but I think he has debased political discourse. I find nothing incisive in his work. As for his influence, if he helped produce the hackneyed polarization of moral liberals versus evil conservatives, then he’s partly at fault for the political stalemate in the United States.

Interesting article, I like the way she thinks. Don’t know much about her and would probably disagree with many of her views, she is a liberal after all, but what she said here are probably the most intelligent comments I’ve seen any Democrat make in a long time.

Almost sounds like a conservative is trying to get out...

Liberal but dislikes what the liberal media is doing. Atheist but respects religions. And her comments about religion show she’s actually thought about it, she’s not just mindlessly mimicking the atheist agenda.

At least she’s not pushing Hillary for president...

I am going to be horrifically blunt here. When abortion is down nationwide, why do conservatives want to stop abortions? The babies being aborted are from low income communities, black communities. The left, Democrats, Marxists what ever you call the political left, wants these babies dead. Abortion is the lefts way of controlling entitlements.

Do Conservatives really want to expand entitlements to pay for these babies for the next 18 years?

From a religious standpoint, abortion is the sin of the parents who concieved the baby. The abortion staff who killed the baby. The litigants who brought Roe v Wade to the Supremes. The justices who passed it. The people who continue to support it. It is their sin.

Does God not watch over all these babies? Will he not punish those who committed the sin?

To care for the prodigy of the left, to care for the babies of people who call us racist? This is their sin. Not ours.

If I must pay for a baby, I’d prefer it to be a live one that could grow up some day to be the person who discovers the cure for pancreatic cancer, or the one who may be an inventor of useful things, or a creator of beautiful things, etc, rather than a dead one, wouldn’t you?

It’d be a real shame if God sent to earth the baby who he intended to find a way to treat Alzheimer’s and some fool killed it. Maybe he did.

Would God let a baby destined to cure a disease be killed?

The baby: Christ Jesus

The disease: sin

From a religious standpoint, abortion is the sin of the parents who concieved the baby. The abortion staff who killed the baby. The litigants who brought Roe v Wade to the Supremes. The justices who passed it. The people who continue to support it. It is their sin.

Actually, by way of your words, should anyone else feel the same, they, too, are participating in the sin of abortion.

Everyone conceived deserves at least a crack at life. Everyone regardless of their parents' income, of which the baby has no control.

And although the baby goes to heaven, or at least a safe place, after being aborted, the damaged mother tries to continue on with her life, oftentimes killing more babies through ongoing poor relationships with men, frequently seeking government help for post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, drug abuse, alcoholism, suicide attempts, and so on.

It's better for funds to go toward a live baby's life, imo, than to pay toward its grieving post-abortive mother.
