Trump stated, Number one, the first thing we do, is get the bad ones out. we have a lot of bad dudes as I said, you have a lot of really bad people here. Theyre in our prisons, and theyre clogging up our prisons. I want to them to go back and not only Mexico, I want to get them back to the country and I want them to be in their prisons.
Trump, then stated that he could find these illegal immigrants and get them out, a process that he argued is feasible
He added, We have to bring great people into this country, okay? And I want to bring I love the idea of immigration, but its got to be legal immigration. Now, a lot of these people are helping us, whether its the grapes, or whether its jobs, and sometimes its jobs, in all fairness, I love our country, but sometimes its jobs that a citizen of the United States doesnt want to do. I mean, there are jobs that a lot of people dont want to do. I want to move them out, and were going to move them back in, and let them be legal, but they have to be in here legally. Otherwise, you dont have a country. You dont have a country, if people can just pour into the country illegally, you dont have a country, but I would expedite the system.
Trump elaborated that he would give these illegal immigrants, Legal status, not citizenship, but, later down the line, who knows, whats going to happen. He clarified that this meant citizenship would be something I would think about, but I would say right now no. Im not open to it. I would say legal status.

This makes more sense than many Trump-bashers might think, if only because this is essentially how existing U.S. law is supposed to work if Obama and the GOPe had a spine to enforce the law. In a nutshell, illegals are supposed to be sent back to their country of origin, where they can go to the U.S. Consulate and apply for a visa through whatever category they legally qualify and wait their turn. Illegals convicted of a series crime while here illegally, will generally not qualify for any type of return visa. Where reform is needed is not son much in the re-entry process for those who are here illegally (enforce the existing law), but in the grounds for obtaining a visa to enter the USA in the first place and the often slow and laborious process for applying for economic based visas.
Fixed your stupidity.
Exactly! What we do need to reform is the slow and laborious process that farmers, for example, need to go through to obtain approval for temporary workers, which often results in a temporary visa after the farmer no longer has a need for the sesonal worker. That, and get rid of anchor babies and scale back family-based visas to 1 degree of affinity (parent-child) provided they will not become a burden on society.
Self deportation works like all laws work. Speeding laws aren’t designed to catch every speeder, just punishes a few and the rest get the message. This how laws work.
SO WHAT!
No work, no welfare.
There should be 100% able-bodied workfare...ska-rew the purple people beaters.
What was it Mark Cuban said the other day? He didn't much care what Trump said, he just admired him for saying it? Well sooner or later people are going to need to care about what Trump is saying because a lot of it is not at all conservative.
“but sometimes its jobs that a citizen of the United States doesnt want to do. I mean, there are jobs that a lot of people dont want to do.”
BS!!!!
In areas that illegals have taken over, wages have decreased. Americans have been pushed out of those fields! 75% of immigrants-legal and illegal- get government freebies. So say a contractor pays a depressed wage under the table to illegals, they go and get food stamps, welfare, housing assistance, Medicaid- raking in the money, and the contractor gets a bigger profit.
And uses the excuse that Americans won’t work for him.
Evil, really.
legal status = amnesty
“Ted Cruz wants to cut off the jobs and the government benefits, this is what will cause them to self-deport.”
That is the only reasonable solution. Has Cruz said that?
No, it is not entirely true. It is jobs that Americans won’t do AT THE PRICE BEING OFFERED. In a free market economy, if it is a job that no one wants to do, someone will offer more money and people will come do it. Does that mean higher prices for our food? Sure, but we are subsidizing the lower prices for our food by all the bad things that illegal immigration produces.
“And if theses babies don’t get anyone to respond to their wage offer they import wetback slaves and call Americans worthless and don’t want to work. F em all.”
Exactly! In one of the few ICE raids years ago, a meat processing plant in Kansas lost all their workers. No Americans would apply at the $12/hr they were offering. When it was raised to $15, they got all the workers they needed.
There’s the proof that it’s all lies.
Bingo. Donald is saying what he thinks most of us want to hear at the moment. He's being a politician. And I am already getting a little weary of this circus he's the current ringmaster of. Turns out....I'm allergic to clowns.
Your post gives me a little hope that there are others that get it. Sometimes I feel like a lone wolf baying in the woods.
Like his statement that he'll replace Obamacare with "something terrific?"
Well he did say has judicial appointments would be “the right kind of judges”.
So he’s getting more specific. :)
And waaaaay cheaper, too. Don't forget that.
The “illegal immigrants do jobs Americans won’t do” is one of the biggest lies successfully peddled by politicians. The highest official unemployment rate in America is among unskilled and semi-skilled workers - exactly the sort who are competing with illegals for jobs.
