That a former RNC head with no chance of accomplishing anything as a candidate, declares as a candidate tells us somthing about the quality of the people at the RNC.

The RNC is headed for a genuine convention negotiated candidate. Somebody needs to start reading up on convention rules when there is no clear electoral primary winner.

He’s figuring VA will be a crucial swing state and that will buy him a VP spot on someone’s ticket.

Good point. As I understand it, delegates are pledged to vote for their pledged candidate on the 1st ballot. If no candidate has a majority after the 1st ballot, delegates are no.longer bound to that candidate. Then back room deals and horse trading and arm twisting will.happen.

50% chance of a brokered convention.

He was utterly slaughtered running for the Senate in 2008, and as a first-tier candidate got only 1/3rd(!) of the vote against Democrat Mark Warner (34%). He would be of no help to any GOP candidate running for President as a VP nominee.

I wonder just who’s funding/furthering this mess? So many candidates is a joke.

17 candidates and political neophyte Donald Trump outpolls all of them.

Sad statement on the quality of our "politicians."

Gilmore isn’t gonna be a factor in the race.

A “brokered convention” is exceedingly unlikely, someone will win. A few of these chumps won’t even make it till Iowa, more will be culled after Iowa and NH.
