All of the Sweet Sixteen candidates appearing on the New Hampshire stage at once isn't a "debate"....it's like a beauty pageant where all the Miss USAs file out and stand there en masse....and then the first one does her talent gig, followed by another entrant's gig, then another, then all the rest one by one....then, time is up!
WHERE'S THE MEAT?....er, where's the debate?
A so-called "debate" in the true sense of the word with SIXTEEN presidential candidates all armed with their gigs is a joke, a farce, and a political beauty contest, nothing more.
Why should Mr. Trump waste time on it, especially in a more-than-likely hostile envirnonment when he could use the couple of days it would take out of his schedule to pick up tens-of-thousands of votes somewhere else stumping in a more vote-fertile state.
A timeless political axiom is "you go where your votes ARE!"
A very well-reasoned decision by Mr. Trump, his boots on the ground in NH..... and his political advisors.

Bill and Nackey were interesting people. I met them through my FIL, socially. I recall Nackey being a lovely, elegant woman. Bill was a drinker. But he ruled the paper with an iron hand. He had a penchant for pissing people off.
Around ‘98 I would post on FR a lot of the Union Leader articles/editorials, b/c you could depend on their view. I never even read it anymore. Nothing stays the same.
LOL Are you kidding? I don't think of a person who has gone through 4 bankruptcies as a good businessman...every bankruptcy leaves hundreds of unemployed.
So sad to see "conservatives" falling for a guy whose principles have been all over the map. He is so far to the left of any RINO we've ever nominated, but carry on. It is entertaining.
He recognized what was really behind the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, and started a contest--of course interrupted by the Kennedy assassination--to identify the October crisis in 1964. (At that time, the Rockefeller crowd had not yet sabotaged Goldwater, who had drawn even with Kennedy in the polls; and we all expected a "crisis.")
Most “Conservatives” understand that bankruptcy is a necessary option in a free market economy. I am thankful I was able to benefit from a “fresh start.”
Also, most “Conservatives” understand that a “job” is not a lifetime guarantee, unless you are a “public servant.”
So attempting to indite Trump for using legal methods of operating his business's is lame...really weak argument.
As far as his positions on the litmus test check list of “conservative issues,” there have been very few politicians who are what they claim to be during their campaigns.
How is that “Conservative” Congress working out for you?
DT resonates because he is not a politician and he appears fearless and intimidated by the dems and their attack dog media. That deserves a lot of respect. He is adding an important ingredients to the process.
